I was pleasantly surprised at Sal's Good Eats. It really is good eats. The inside is very clean, and the staff is warm and helpful. The French toast was out of this world. I live in West New York where there are many excellent Cuban sandwiches, Sals Cuban is just as good, only that it's a thicker version with more meat, which isn't a bad thing. Too bad they aren't open on weekends. This place is a hidden gem

Went in for breakfast and was told due to a high amount of online orders I was told I would have to 30 minutes to order. Came back later and got a bacon egg and cheese. Eggs weren't cooked, bacon wasn't cooked, cheese wasn't melted. Only thing cooked was the roll. Buffet food looked 3 days old too. Terrible service and terrible

This review is not only about Sal’s excellent service and food but also about New Jersey’s highly underrated value as a area that excels in customer service and such patience with the population I’m always shocked by the level of service relative to other places I travel to. The NY/NJ area is the best in the US hands down. At Sal’s, the owner, Josey, immediately approached me with the most kind spirit and asked if I’d been there before, like she knew I hadn’t because she’d have remembered me! She attentively roved the small restaurant asking if everyone was ok and engaging them. Some may not like that kind of attention and if not, maybe this place isn’t for you.

Definitely need to try Sal's Good Eats for a quick breakfast or lunch and even grab it to go! They have everything on on the breakfast menu to lunch , salad and late lunch specials not to mention desserts looked delicious In Jersey make sure you stop by

I was in Hackensack to pick up my big TV and decided to stop by Sal’s. I was missing Diner food. Calm place. Staff is nice and polite. I ordered the egg platter. It’s such a simple platter but they made it to perfection. I hope I can come back next time in Hackensack.
