“Vale’s Kafe & Kitchen is a hidden gem in Union City. The atmosphere is cozy and charming, like you’re visiting a friend. The service is professional and attentive. The food … oh so good! Clean and flavorful. The portions are just right, not outrageous. The coffee is also very good. The only setback I see is the entrance is not
accessible. I would suggest a ramp for those customers that have difficulty walking up/down steps. Also hours could be extended, say to include dinner on the weekend (Fri/Sat). Otherwise a must see.”

The Eggs Benedict was delicious, and the beet salad was flavorful and vibrant. Everything was seasoned perfectly. It’s a great mom-and-pop–run business, and I’ll definitely visit again the next time I’m in the city. ☀️🍳🥖”

I did take out for the family, breakfast sandwiches they come on 3 diff kinds of bread options made fresh there. Fresh juices are available and lots of customization options. Easy to get double egg, turkey, ham or bacon. The go to breakfast sport. Wish I had one back home. Omelots also available as a bonus. Very reasonably priced and great mineral water options in the fridge.”

“Love this place, looks like it was lifted from Brooklyn and placed in this corner. It’s cozy and very eclectic, uniquely furnished, has a bunch of tiny unique items scattered through the space for sale, like candles, flower vases, other small decorative item. More importantly they have a menu with a variety of beverages and pastries and I believe sandwiches (not quite sure if I saw sandwiches on the menu but definitely a variety of pastries). This is going to be my new goto spot”

“Popped in for some food after hitting the pool - everything was so fresh. I got the fritura and was blessed with a massive portion of fried, fresh, incredible meats, cheese, and plantains. The chicken was so moist and juicy, the chicharron was deeply flavorful and had me floored; truly so fresh, tasted like a mama made it for me. My partner got the pernil and it was also incredible. 10/10!!!”

My familyy came in and ordered and everyone around us got served before us after she heard us, mind you our waiter there telling his side they arrived after us.55 minutes later, ( we ordered 14 pupusas amd 1 soup.) table in front and behind a party of 8 people each received their rice steaks, seafood appetizers. When we asked the waiter about it, he came off extremely rude arguing trying to prove he’s right that and we’re in the wrong…he said the others came after but ordered first before us… not right! in reality all he had to do was apologize for the wait and find out how long till food comes out. he had a face like miserable…. he wasn’t happy working there, and the manager, an older blonde lady, didn’t even offer an apology. while talking to her our server was there too again being a lawyer. the lady really seemed she wasn’t interested in us since place was busy due to salvadorian parade. She just said to pay for our drinks and leave. What a disaster. Bathroom not as clean when they’re busy. toilet had splatters of crap on sear and floor was slippery. also some air freshener wouldn’t hurt. Place is tight space and dark. there are stairs inside to dining room and 16 steps downstairs to go to restroom. so if you’re in a wheelchair, good luck. place doesn’t look like its up to code. atmosphere is not that friendly and dark not enough lighting. mirrors are dirty in dining room. Food no chance to eat. Si eres de el salvador tendrás un servicio de malo a mediocre. Prefieren atender a personas de diferentes etnias. La gente de este establecimiento fue extremadamente grosera. Mi familia entró y ordenó y todos los que nos rodeaban fueron atendidos antes que nosotros después de que ella nos escuchó, tenga en cuenta que nuestro camarero le dijo a su lado que llegaron después de nosotros. 55 minutos después (pedimos 14 pupusas y 1 sopa), mesa al frente y detrás un grupo de 8 personas recibió cada uno sus filetes de arroz, aperitivos de mariscos. Cuando le preguntamos al camarero al respecto, se mostró extremadamente grosero argumentando que intentaba demostrar que tenía razón y que nosotros estábamos equivocados... dijo que los demás vinieron después pero ordenaron primero antes que nosotros... ¡no está bien! en realidad todo lo que tenía que hacer era disculparse por la espera y averiguar cuánto falta para que salga la comida. tenía una cara como miserable…. no estaba contento trabajando allí y la gerente, una señora rubia mayor, ni siquiera se disculpó. Mientras hablaba con ella, nuestro camarero también estaba allí como abogado. La señora realmente parecía que no estaba interesada en nosotros ya que el lugar estaba ocupado debido al desfile salvadoreño. Ella solo dijo que pagáramos nuestras bebidas y nos fuéramos. Qué desastre. El baño no está tan limpio cuando están ocupados. El inodoro tenía salpicaduras de basura y el piso estaba resbaladizo. Además, un poco de ambientador no vendría mal. El lugar es un espacio reducido y oscuro. Hay escaleras adentro que conducen al comedor y 16 escalones abajo para ir al baño. así que si estás en silla de ruedas, buena suerte. El lugar no parece cumplir con el código. El ambiente no es tan amigable y oscuro, no hay suficiente iluminación. Los espejos están sucios en el comedor. Comida sin posibilidad de comer.”

“I want to express the bad attention of the maintainer who asked me for a water with lemon and he was charging me for it. I stopped that in no restaurant can they charge you for a water with lemon and it was very difficult to resolve the matter. The man at the demonstration is Melza, shaking a lemon.”
