“Location was lovely, service was ok. Food was great. Only 1 think I didn't like. I said no tomatoes, made a point of expressing it a few times. Bacon, chicken sandwich ? had tomatoes. (Mine you, I can take it out myself, but I don't like tomatoes, it wets the bread the seeds stay on the sandwich.) I asked them if they were just going to remove the tomatoes and give Me the same sandwich. Cause I can do that myself.) The waiter said they would make me another one. They didn't they took the sandwich for 10mins and just removed the tomatoes. I could have done that myself, that's why I ask. I got pink stained wet bread, now cold, with the tomato seed. I hate that they said they would make another to just bring me the same one. What is the point of asking people how they want their meals. If you are just going to do whatever. I DIDN'T LIKE THAT AT ALL. THOUGHT THAT WAS TRASHY.“

“It's one of the best souffle pancake spots in all of NY! If pancakes aren't your thing, then they have plenty of other options to choose from. The drinks were super good too, and overall, this is one of the best spots to come to if you're looking for breakfast.“

“I ate it deliciously. But I felt bad. After I finished eating, I paid cash, but the server gave me change as he pleased, except for those in the back. It was my intention to give more money, but I was offended when he gave me change on his own.“

“The Hungry Man came with pancakes, sausage bacon, home fries and toast. Eggs had onions and goat cheese added to it for my pleasure. The egg breakfast was basic but good. The waitress was very friendly and intuitive. The restaurant felt but a diner but very quaint. Outdoor sitting available with view of the Passaic River.“

“Very nice! The food was wonderful. Tasty and delicious. The udon was perfectly soft and chewy and the broth was salty but not too salty. Takoyaki was top tier. Smoky and sweet. Soft not soggy but creamy in the middle. Tempura was heavily breaded but crunchy. Don’t expect a lot of shrimp but that’s a tempura thing. It’s not like breaded shrimp you get in a Western-style restaurant. Never the less… really tasty. The mushroom skewers! Woah. Not greasy which is what I was a bit worried about. I normally eat very light and non-oily, but this was fine on my stomach. The sauce was rich and the mushroom was crispy so perfect balance. Also! Not spicy.Sour dough was not too sour and not overly buttered. The mushroom on top was VERY salty however the egg was mild and did not seem to be seasoned with much other than cracked pepper so it balanced well. The salad portion it came w ought to be slightly more. Those soufflé pancakes! Wonderful! Pls order this. Pricy, yes… maybe but the cream is not Reddi whip or cool whip. Fresh and sweet. Creamy but not sad and milky. The fruit on top= fresh. The pancakes are eggy so if u hate eggy cake don’t order but I loved it! It was delectably soft but not wet. Not notably syruped or sauced but this worked in the cake's favor in my opinion.Service-The server was perfectly attentive. I did not feel like I was overly watched which is nice. She was very polite and sweet. Food was served rather quickly and was perfectly warm… and a very pretty presentation.Atmosphere-Adorable. Beautiful. Yet not “too fancy” the music was light indie sounding trendy like stuff. Sometimes, not my favorite but not too disturbing.I really liked it! ?Instagram= _em316“

“This place was originally my 2nd option as my 1st ended up to be closed and I've been back to Martha's Pastries and Cafe 2-3x since. I enjoyed everything about my experience! I've ordered a sesame bagel w/ cream cheese, simple yet delicious and a chicken quesadilla; the cheese was slightly different than what i've had before but still really good. I'd get these items again.Coffee was great, no complaints.Seems to be a family owned operation and I think they are doing a great job working together in such a difficult time for many businesses. Staff is very warm, thoughtful (they bring water to the table), and accommodating.“

“My food was super yummy! I got a simple 3 eggs with home fries and bacon! It was awesome! My partner enjoyed his tailor ham French toast sandwhich! We did also have a order of Gluten free pancake that sadly didn’t turn out as good as expected. Everything else was absolutely delicious and our waitress was super kind and attentive! If we were visiting longer we would stop by again“

“Cute breakfast place! We ended up waiting in line around 40 minutes on a Saturday morning. Most unique pancakes I've eaten. We got the one with bananas. They're thin and crispy on the edges but so gooey in the middle. The chicken karaage was also very crispy and a nice side to balance the sweetness of the pancakes.“
