“They had a deal on Uber Eats so we decided to try it for the first time. We ordered the Orange Chicken w/White rice. The portion is controlled in containers w/ a compartment which I felt was sufficient for one person & I like that there was less rice but more meat. It came with an egg roll & egg drop soup apparently. I was nervous after reading the other reviews but honestly, everything was great. The orange chicken was a little spicy and had some orange peels which I liked. The egg roll was light (almost like a healthier version of that makes sense lol) but good. The only thing that was a little strange was the soup cuz It looked like they used starch to thicken it up but either way not bad. Overall, I had a great experience and would recommend for others to give it a try.“
“I’m addicted! The menu is simple, the food is flavorful and well presented. Service is wonderful and great value. Casual setting with beach-y/food truck vibes vs a restaurant-proper. I suspect that this place would have a lot more foot traffic if it were in town near Bloomfield Ave or Watchung, but I’m happy to have it so nearby in Upper Montclair, and I hope they are a long-standing fixture here (have seen a few places coke and go in this spot). The food here stands out miles ahead of a couple of nearby Mexican options, albeit smaller menu.“
“Really good food and atmosphere. Watch out for the automatic tip on the receipt. They didn't include it on Thursday but did on Friday. Usually I tip 20% but when places automatically add 18%, I don't tip extra when places auto tip. They also included a tip line even tho they added an auto tip lol, not falling for that trick.“
“Food is outstanding I've tried everything on the menu my fav is the mushroom taco.. the restaurant is extremely small has 2 small tables I guess it's primarily meant to order and go. Tte last time I was there they were playing reggae music and my food was piping hot and delish as usual“

“My husband and I lived in Harrison in 2019-early 2020 and this was our local taco spot. We were obsessed. We moved due to the pandemic and to this day we haven’t found better tacos than these. We compare every taco we ever have to these, hoping to find some that will compete and they never come close.“
“Strolling through town a wanted a little snack to go with my healthy smoothie from earlier. I walked in and was warmly greeted by a cheerful guy. After checking out the menu, I asked him what his favorites were and he made all the tacos sound so delicious. I was kinda of leaning towards a bowl, but after hearing all the taco goodness I grabbed a Cajun shrimp taco to hold me over till later.Turns out the guy I was chatting with was the owner, Todd. “We eat here almost every day. The food is always made to order so it does take a few miinutes. The food is delicious, I have never had anything I did not enjoy. Mr. C is always making sure we are happy with what he has prepared for us. Sometimes he will add his own little touch once he gets to know you and what you like. He will make great suggestions if you are not sure what you would like. The girls at the counter are great! This is a small hidden gem!“
“Silver lake CheeseSteaks and Tacos makes authentic tacos at a very reasonable price. Their glorious selection of cheesesteak options is pleasing. They also sell fresh cut fruit and deliciously baked goods. I have been going to them since the owner himself was a cook at the Newark Cheesesteak house in Newark. He now owns both locations. I prefer Silver Lake because the original chef/ now owner still cooks. That is a sign of great leadership.“
“This food is delicious and true to Dominican food! It is incredibly hard to find authentic DR/PR food in Newark area. Customers service is cool, you are greeted properly. They're usually very busy near weekends. I had the pork mofongo, the chicharron with rice and beans. Everything is flavorful and seasoned well. The portions are well rounded and filling. Price point is great. I'll definitely be back to try Empanadas, chicken etc. It's nice to finally get some real Dominican food around here! I ate it so fast I didn't take a flick, maybe next time.“

“Finally decided to give this place a shot after having their flyer for months now, over the phone the service was great, and then when we picked up the food the guy was great talked to us bout the specials in a very friendly manner, even when we did order the food almost during closing time. And the food itself was great. Portions were very good and the food was very well seasoned will come back again to try out other meals“
