Located in Wayne off of Valley Road, Jackie Small is a bright, comfortable, and cozy eatery with 13 two-seater tables open during breakfast and lunch. There was no wait upon entering and being greeted by the staff, Hector. Their menu, inspired by traditional Middle Eastern recipes, is vast, featuring their popular shawarma grain bowl, Greek salad, as well as French toast, avocado toast, grilled cheese, blueberry pancakes, veggie bowls, BLT's, etc. It's first come, first served, as one orders at the counter, has a seat, and they'll deliver your food to your table. I decided on Smalls Scramble consisting of 3 eggs soft-scrambled, Gruyere cheese, roasted tomatoes, truffle home fries, and multi-grain toast. To wash it down, I went for the Mango Supreme smoothie (mango nectar, strawberry, banana, honey, and pineapple). The food was perfect—great portions and very good quality. The smoothie was delicious and refreshing. This place checked all the boxes, which I can recommend.“

The coffee is good with coffee-adjacent drinks with fun names. I have never seen the place empty or slow.There are a handful of pastries (croissant, pecan roll, ham and cheese croissant, everything bagel twist, etc.) to accompany the beverages. I was told the pastries come from Le French Dad Boulangerie, so if you like their baked goods, you’ll be pleased.If you’re prone to migraines or if you’re looking for a semi-quiet place to work or have a chat, this is not the place for you. If you want to show friends or visitors a unique place with good coffee, this does the job.“

“Cute coffee shop! Ordered the honey bee lavender latte. It was delicious. Also tempted to indulge in the bacon egg and cheese sandwich on a croissant. The craving was definitely met.Seating area is ok with minimal couches, mostly bar seating available. Service was friendly. Had to wait a bit because the shop got a little crowded, but it was worth the wait.Highly recommend.“

“It's difficult to find Indian Style Chai, and while the Tea here is not exactly "Chai", it is still pretty good. Overall decor and atmosphere was so welcoming, with sufficient seating; great place to sit and relax with friends with a Pot of Coffe or Tea. Would definitely recommend.“

“Great meal and overall time here! Our server was super nice and friendly/helpful he really guided us through the menu and gave some great suggestions. The restaurant itself is super nice and cozy while being spacious, but oh man the food is unreal. We had the meatballs (so big and flavorful and smothered in sauce), the mushroom pizza which was loaded with mushrooms, super flavorful and unique. Also got the vodka pizza which was really great, we got extra vodka sauce on the side so we could really drown it and loved it. My friend got the gluten free and she said it's the first gluten free bread she's had that actually tastes like real bread and loved it.“

“My family and I love love love Kubo. Since they opened, we def try to come here any time were in the area. My fave fave fave is the Ube Soft Serve with Taiyaki and boba. Their soft serve is just so creamy and flavorful. I haven't tried everything on their menu yet, but I def plan to. “I've been looking for a local, full service coffee shop that roasts their own beans, sells coffee/espresso, as well as offers breakfast and lunch.**This IS that place**I couldn't tell from their website, but the posts I saw on insta showed that they serve food, and I'm happy to report that it tastes as good as it looks!Very friendly staff and accommodating. Although it's currently the middle of December, I wanted a macchiato over ice, which wasn't on their menu, but when I asked they happily said 'of course'.Seems like I'm going to have to sign up for their points system because I can tell I'm going to be back here a whole lot more.I'm particularly interested in sampling their beans, just wish i didn't have to buy an entire bag of beans. Why don't these local roasters sell sample packs, allowing you to still purchase a pound of beans, but separated into small batches with samples of each bean type? This would allow me to quickly figure out which bean I want to try without having to buy a single large bag and take a month to go through coffee I don't really like before trying the next type . . . Or maybe i should start roasting my own beans and do this method . . .Anyways, I really like the space they have, they've really made the most of it, very cozy and inviting.Can't wait to go back“

“Service was friendly and good overall. I have always been a frequent flyer to the Kung Fu Tea kingdom and this location will be no exception. My favorite tea is and always has been the Taro milk tea with grass jelly. They have a few board games and it is an inviting vibe. My adult children get everything from Passion Fruit and Green Tea. Sometimes the slushy type of drinks. It's always pretty good and I believe it is up to par with the Montclair location.“

“I love a home run...a trifecta :)It's a cozy but clean location...bright & warm vibe with the woods & metals. What can make it more welcoming???!!! They took care of all our needs with kindness & gentleness while allowing us to enjoy our time together.The food tasted as if from FARM TO TABLE...fresh, crisp, warm and light. The arepas were perfect...my grandma and mom are straight from Colombia so arepas are huge...these meet the criteria, soft but cooked on the inside and grilled perfectly, moist not dry. My son's Eggs Benedict was delish and the bread wasn't the usual English muffin instead a thick slice of heavenly toast. The avocado toast was unbelievable and scrumptious. I had both Arepa dishes...both very good but the beef and cheese was exceptional :)Look forward to going back!“

“My husband and I had just landed from a red- eyed flight from California and "yelped" best breakfast sandwiches. DB Breakfast was at the top of the list, so we had our Uber take us directly there. Not realizing they were not due to open for another 35 minutes; we stood outside in the pitch black deciding what to do next. All of a sudden the door opened and the sweetest lady welcomed us in. She was so kind and prepared coffee for us and took our order. This would never had happened in California. My husband ordered the Taylor Ham sandwich and loved it. First time we had every heard of Taylor ham. I order the bacon sandwich and it was amazing. The food was delicious and the service was top notch.Thank you Vivian for the warm hospitality. “Loved my experience here at this girly pink cafe. The shop keeps the music at a reasonably low level (at least while I was there during the week) so work can be done. Drinks are great and food menu is extensive. This place definitely needs to be a staple in everyone’s WFH cafes. ?“

“Great place with great real fresh roasted coffee. Coconut cold brew is my favorite of the cold brews. Always hang out there on Fridays and the owner is a great guy who runs the place. The baristas are excellent and some of the home specialties offered there like the biscotti are excellent. Well worth the stop if you are in the area and say hi if you are there on a Friday morning.“

“The Honey Day Cafe has amazing food and the Korean-brunch fusion is something I haven't tried before finding this place. The K-chicken and waffles are really good, great flavor and the mochi waffles make it really unique. Huge selection of coffee drinks which are also really good. I've dined in and got food to-go before and it's always been really quick, even if it's busy. Highly recommend giving it a try!“

“I try to visit this place anytime I am in New Jersey. NYC quality bakery in NJ. That’s pretty hard to find in my experience. The price is right for how high quality everything is. Staff is always friendly, the place is always clean, and in the new location at Artie’s it was fun to see the place go from breakfast to lunch service and not feel rushed out. “Defying Gravitea is a cute spot for breakfast, coffee/tea, or some little sweets. My mom and I stopped in early one morning and the owner Gina was super friendly and welcoming. The menu is entirely gluten/dairy free and as someone who is not gluten or dairy free, I believe the food was just as tasty, if not better! I had a pot of Rise + Glow tea and French toast. Will definitely be back!“

“This is one of my mom's favorite places for coffee. Everything I've tried at Liv Breads is delicious. All the croissants are amazing, but the nutella croissant is ridiculously good. The sandwiches are all fresh, healthy, and satisfying. The coffee is excellent. I love the samples you can try as you wait in line. Had to purchase the cardamon bun after tasting the sample. It is a unique pastry I haven't seen elsewhere, and it is the perfect blend of sweet, spicy, and crunchy. Going back soon to try the baguette which looks delicious.“

“I've been waiting a long time for a local coffee shop in my town. Service is fast and friendly. They make iced coffee with coffee ice cubes! I thought that was one of the greatest things I had ever seen. I haven't had their breakfast yet but their Chocolate Croissant is fire!“

“I worked with Ma’s Tea House for a corporate event. Initially we wanted them to come on site at our NYC office location at make fresh bubble tea as people came into the office, which they do offer, but the building had a lot of specific requests which made it difficult to coordinate. We ended up deciding to switch to a delivery of 100 bubble teas in the morning for my event that same afternoon. From start to finish, they were very easy to work with and responsive. I stopped by the shop and Justin worked with me to decide on what would be best for delivery and what flavors would be good options. I even requested they add my company’s stickers to the cups along with their own and they did. Delivery was a little tough (but that was due to the location of the office in midtown, police officers not allowing vehicles to stop, etc.) but we eventually found each other for delivery and they helped bring the bubble teas into the building within the delivery time discussed.As for the bubble teas during the event, we decided on 50 white peach rose with strawberry popping boba and 50 passion fruit with mango popping boba. They were a HUGE hit and mostly gone within the hour from the start of the event which we didn’t expect. We were anticipating some leftovers by the end of the day, but in the end, there were none.Pricing was reasonable and comparable to other quotes that we received. Brian was great to work with. We would look to work with them again in the future!“

The cafe has plenty of seats for everyone and plenty of outlets. Mario and jason are both great baristas and are phenomenal with the customers. Their coffee was also tasted really fresh and delicious. The ladies at the register don't speak English really well so it may take some time to order your food but service otherwise was fantastic. “I did a Google search for a coffee shop and came upon this small, unique shop. I ordered a latte and it was very good. It’s a very small set up with a huge mission. It’s a non-profit to help people with disabilities to have a place to work. What a great cause! I didn’t get any food but the options looked quite yummy.Parking: Very little parking on the street. There is a lot behind the building which had quite a few empty spaces. Have to walk around the building to get to the storefront but not difficult or long walk.“

They have fresh hot bagels coming out on rotation, I never ask for my bagels from here to be toasted because they’re always warm and fluffy on the inside and have a nice crisp on the outside. There is limited outdoor seating nearby so plan to bring your goodies outside or to the car. Prices are not listed for pastries and it isn't cheap - but I say worth it!“
