I ordered the chicken with garlic sauce combo and it didn’t come with an eggroll. Which, is okay… but the spice on this was so intense that I couldn’t eat more that 2 bites. I spent $25 for inedible food. I’m incredibly disappointed. And I like heat but this was way too much. All on top of the missing items.

Great food! I find the Szechuan here to be delicious, complex, fresh, and maybe a little too spicy for me--and I like heat! The fresh dumplings are homemade and flavorful, with lots of porky depth. The Dan Dan are on point, great chew, and that rich umami flavor comes through. The cucumber is sooooo spicy and delicious. The chicken with broccoli is so good, quite garlicky and fresh. The fried rice is not your typical take out, but it's homemade and so comforting. The egg roll was surprisingly delicious. Definitely the best Chinese food in Asbury.

Hot Sichuan has become my go-to for Chinese takeout in the area. Can’t go wrong if you stay with the Appetizer, Sichuan Specialties and Chef’s Specialities sections of the menu. Legit Sichuan place and spicy. The people are super friendly here and service is quick.(I’m taking points off the atmosphere because it’s not a sit-down place, but it’s not relevant anyway.)

Walked in to 2 sleeping employees and one cook not taking care of the counter. Ordered online for pickup, food nit even started. 20 minutes later got home to eat and it's all terrible. Dumplings were not pan fried, spareribs had no taste, boneless spareribs were thick and fatty. It all went in the garbage along with the $46 it cost.

I had the roast pork with spicy garlic sauce lunch. It was very good. Service and preparation were reasonably quick. FWIW, this was during a mid-afternoon summer Sunday, and no one else in the place.I'll go back.

For folks who love dumplings and dim sums just like in NYC..I went back to check this place out again after a long while as they first were so new after bought out The Spring House on Wickapoo and Sunset Ave in Ocean Twp... Now called the Hot Sichuan, definitely is doing better each time I ordered take out some fun goodies.. The Wonton in spicy peanut sesame sauce, wow, very tasteful and fullfilling..Thai vegetable spring rolls were well filled and satisfying.. Haven't tasted the shrimp dumpling yet, perhaps tomorrow... Now am a happy camper to see more new creative appiezter dishes they are making..
