We have been meaing to try Ulivo for a while now and we're glad we finally paid them a visit. The food was amazing and so was the service. Great overall experience, we may even host a private event here. We can't wait to go back and try more of the menu.

This was our 2nd visit. Food is excellent and we are happy to have found this little place amongst the vast wasteland of mediocre eateries in our area. We will be repeat guests for sure Our friends who came with us were likewise pleased. A winner!

This place has seriously good food ... everything very fresh, and perfectly balanced in flavors. All dishes exactly hit the spot between "distinct" flavor profiles without anything becoming overwhelming. Even the rolls were outstanding, with a variety of olive oils for dipping. We had branzino (very tender), homemade pasta bolognese, and zuppa di mare ... all excellent. Dessert was a chocolate mouse split 3 ways. We visited here 2 years ago when they first opened. The food then was certainly "good", but our meal tonight was truly excellent. This place deserves more love from Hunterdon County diners. Note: it's BYOB.Wheelchair accessibility: Good ramp for wheelchairs, if needed.

Excellent food. Beautifully balanced in all ways ... proportions, flavors both intense and subtle in harmony. Very fresh. Room is minimalist without being cold. It would probably get noisy when full. Service was attentive and warm-hearted.
Great service and attention from hostess to chef. Foos was deliciously prepared. Fresh and attention to detail is seemly visible. The pulpo and lump king crab appetizers were equally favorites. The ribeye steak worth the price when you want to treat yourself.

Great to find this local spot with strong attention to unique food and flavors. The ravioli was like none other. With a little more attention on the space to decorate and make prettier, this will be a great spot to grab a high quality Italian dinner. The staff was friendly but could benefit from more instruction. A big improvement outside would be something that blocks the car headlight that shine in.

I’m heartbroken to write this, but we had a terrible experience with the hostess yesterday. We made a reservation on OpenTable for 8pm. We arrived and the hostess said it was an error and there’s no tables and offered no resolution. There was enough room in the back to set up a small table for us, but wasn’t even discussed. So the wife and my 5 year old were left with no dinner and nowhere to go. We’ve been here several times, loved the food and our waiters were excellent. Unfortunately, we won’t be returning or recommending anyone else to go. there.
Second time at Ulivo and as great as the first time. We love the intimate atmosphere and friendly staff. Our appetizer, ricotta cheese tasting, was terrific and dinner special, halibut, was absolutely perfect. We will be back, in fact can't wait!!
Our first experience was amazing. Starting with the bread (which was soft and warm) and dipping oil, each course was perfectly prepared both in presentation and flavor. Atmosphere is nice with open kitchen to see the chef perform his magic! Wait staff is friendly and personable, without being over bearing. If you are looking for an evening out/ amazing meal, go to Ulivo, you will not be disappointed!!!

Delicious meal, I had the Osso Bucco, my guy had risotto de mar. Very nice meal. Fresh ingredients and spices. I love the way this chef cooks. The bread was served with 3 different oils and flavors . Just perfect.
