“After USCG graduation in Cape May we spent the afternoon along the boardwalk. Our new graduate wanted a cheeseburger so we happened upon the Doo Wop Diner. The waitress was one of the best we’ve ever had anywhere. She was kind, pleasant, attentive and made great food recommendations. All 6 of us had cheeseburgers with zero complaints. I recommend the fried pickle burger with added pepper jack cheese. It’s not cheap for a big family but the atmosphere and service was def worth the price. The French fries were over the top delish too.”

“At first I was skeptical. Any time I see a smaller aged establishment I go in with mild expectations. Everything was great though. The bacon egg and cheese was great. They made the bacon just how I like it. Close to well done but not quite. The waffles the pancakes all great. Breakfast is my favorite meal and I hate risking it on places like this, because sometimes the are a big miss. This place on the other hand was a pleasant surprise and made me think to my self, maybe I need to be more open minded. Try this place you won't be disappointed.”

“I've been enjoying Macks Pizza since 1971 when my parents let an 11 year old walk the boardwalk alone for the first time. Mrs T was one of my first memories. we've been several times a year since and each of my children and grandkids have had their first slice of pizza at Macks. Yes, I happily drive 2 and a half hours to load up on the best Pizza ever!!”

Aside from being extremely impressed with all of the flavors, from appetizer to dessert, our server, Ari (not sure I’m spelling it correctly) was just the sweetest, knowledgeable and kind young woman. She was very attentive but not annoyingly. There were other servers walking around making sure tables were cleared of finished apps, salads and such. They work as a team and made the experience so enjoyable. Everything flowed so smoothly. We enjoyed delicious cocktails and the food was so on point. We’re giving Santorini ALL the stars! We will most definitely be back, again and again!”

“My family and I go to Wildwood every year and discovered Hatillo’s. I have a gluten allergy and find it difficult to eat out at restaurants and enjoy food. I wanted to know if it was possible for them to fry some foods separately for me. The owners were very willing to accommodate my food allergy. They let me know all of the ingredients in all of the foods that I ordered to make sure it was ok with my diet. I truly appreciated the effort that they put into making sure that there was no cross contamination. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was phenomenal!!”

“Boardwalk facing location with great views of the amusement piers. Really good sandwich options - cheesesteaks, buffalo wraps, and even lobster rolls. Don’t miss out on the bang-bang shrimp and have a Coronorita to go with it! Great fun!”

“We had dinner last night. The menu was limited but we had the broiled seafood combo and the seafood risotto. The food was excellent. A big shout out to our server Nancy who was busy but took the time to give each table great service”

The 1 star

Saturday August 16th we arrived for breakfast at 10:15 am. We ordered iced coffee and the gentleman serving us asked, is that just coffee over ice? Me and my wife looked at each other and thought that would be terrible. We were correct, it was watered down coffee. We asked if we could substitute home fries for fruit and he simply said “no” without offering us an item that would be an up charge or any other option. The chocolate milk and lemonade came out in 4 oz cups and we figured there were no refills because he didn’t come back once to ask us if we would like more to drink. He missed our son’s omelette order, so we waited at least 15 minutes for that to come out.

The 5 star

Around 1045 am our waiter disappeared and we were blessed with a new waitress, when we told her about the previous waiter, the hot coffee on ice, the not checking on our drink situation and the missing omelette, she apologized and was so sweet in a genuine way to us for the rest of our meal. She asked if the kids needed refills and we told her we didn’t know they offered refills. She then at the very end sent us with cold brew iced offer and we were surprised because we received $14 worth of watered down iced coffees when they served cold brew.

Due to how excellent the second waitress was I was inclined to change my 1 star review to a 5 star review but the waitress knew about how terrible the first waiter was and someone should look into it so that others do not receive this treatment.

We ordered the sausage breakfast burrito, french toast, and a couple of omelets and all of the food was tasty and came out warm.”

Also Jade is a great waitress-and Umberto, who we think is a manager was always hustling around here making sure things were taken care of. If you are in Wildwood you need to check this place out.”

“Hi I want to sing my praises to two of your waitresses that went above and beyond during our meals while vacationing in Wild Woods. Our first Experience and 2nd we had the pleasure of having “Niki” and truly we could not ask for better service than she offered,her tone,her understanding and the way she treated my toddler is immeasurable and the small details that were paid attention to were not found in other establishments we tried. I hope she knows how valued and appreciated she is by our family! We stopped in for one last meal before heading back to MD and we were cared for. A waitress I don’t re call a name but long curly hair,and a smile that lit up a room and was welcoming,her table side manner was fantastic she joked with us and also treated my daughter remarkably well where again other establishments frowned upon her questions or acted as she wasn’t talking. Furthermore,Noticing the whole atmosphere was a fantastic vibe, Everyone was smiling and working as a team. Can’t wait to return !”

“The wife and I were out and about and decided to try the Waterside location in Lakewood Ranch Fl. I have to say im a bit of a critic because we have family in Maine and have tasted all ends of the spectrum of lobster rolls from amazing to terrible and this place makes a great Lobster rolls with a spot on price comparable to Maine and other restaurants in the area. The staff member we dealt with was super nice I wish I would have got his name, but I do know he was from Jersey and had great knowledge knew the product well. We had 2 Connecticut rolls and they were great. I would say this place is worth checking out. Theres only outdoor seating, but you can easily walk around waterside and find a spot to kick back and enjoy or walk out enjoy their outdoor seating and it will complement their lobster rolls very well. They also have nice little selection of beers/beverages and a whole N/A fridge too.”

“I love this little Café that's tucked away here in North Wildwood on New York Ave and 18th Ave. This was my daily stop while working this summer. My favorite was a dbl. shot of iced cold brew! Stronger and smoother than Starbucks!!! AMAZING 😋 Not only do they have the best coffee drinks, the choice of pastries is amazing also, you haven't had a donut until you try theirs, huge and delicious. Muffins are also delicious. My favorite is the Crumb Cake OMG!!!! What a treat! The waffles are also delicious. Now for the owners, AMAZING. They are so kind and really know how to treat their customers. Now for the girls who are absolutely AMAZING also!!! As soon as they see me, they know exactly what I want and get it ready 💖 They are so efficient and work with the best attitude I have ever seen in my life. Always smiling and happy. After this most satisfying experience, I was desperate to meet the Chef behind this most Perfect Pasta dish. The waitstaff directed me to the Chef, who was extremely appreciative when I explained the aforementioned to him. Anyone out there visiting the Jersey Shore and wants to have a truly "Unique" dining experience, I strongly recommend ordering the Shrimp Pasta (or any Pasta Course) "The" Olympic Flame Restaurant. You Will Not Be Disappointed!!”

Instead of going to Wawa again to get a bite before the bus ride home, I took the team to Crazy Junky. 14 of us were accommodated for pizza, salads, and cheesesteaks. We were just there this week for the second time while on our yearly vacation to Wildwood. The quality, tastes, and flavor profile was exactly as we remembered from last year. “I hope this "review" isn't out of line, but I get nostalgic about what once was the best all nite diner around, some 40 years ago. I used to work in one of the many club bands around at the time, as did many of us, and after work - 3am, 4am - I'd often be there with some band mates and there were usually performers from other bands there as well. It was sort of a wind-down party, we'd get a little louder than we should and would sometimes be reminded there were other patrons there too 😁 but we were at least decent tippers to assuage our guilt 😂. I loved going to the Red Oak. I remember one specific seasonal item I always got when available - a bowl of fresh strawberries. Along with breakfast foods like pancakes, eggs, and bacon. Anyway, I get that it's weird that I'm doing a review from the 1980s, but it really was memorable!”
