Toro set was excellent! Many great Happy Hour choices as well especially the salmon sashimi and the aji.

A nice little gem tucked away in the APA hotel. If you have a craving for Japanese food, this spot is it. (They had Fried Aji on their daily special the day I went ) I got their Salmon Ikura Don, Botan Ebi and Otoro a la carte, and their Black Sesame Panna Cotta. Food was pretty good, better than any Japanese restaurant in the main Edison area, but there are some little things to nitpick at. Some of the salmon was still slightly frozen (I went during lunch on a Tuesday), and I didn't realize some of the salmon would be slightly grilled. Thought it'd be all sashimi but that's my fault for not asking. I do wish that the veggies in the don came as a side salad instead of in the don itself. I feel like the veggies messed up the Salmon Ikura flavor profile a bit. The a la carte sushi were great! So delicious, but the Botan shrimp head came way after the botan shrimp body. Maybe their kitchen was busy, it's not really a big deal for me but I can imagine it might not be ideal for other customers. The Black Sesame Panna Cotta was not too sweet but I do wish the black sesame profile was a little bit stronger. Again, just me being nitpicky, I would definitely order it again! I will have to go back to try more of their menu items because they do have a wide selection of stuff I haven't seen elsewhere in Edison. Their service was impeccable. Something a really upscale place would have!

The best Omagase we ever had. Fish was shipped from Japan, and super fresh. Private room, Chef and waiter. The manager made sure we had a great experience. The service was friendly and attentive. The ambiance is really nice, I feel like I was in Japan. I highly recommend Aoi. We will be back.

The foods and atmosphere were great! The only one bad point was the slow food and drink delivery because of the limited servers.

This Japanese spot has a very cool decor that gives a true Japanese feel. The service was absolutely excellent 10/10. Jonah especially was everything you want from a server. Attentive without being annoying which can be a fine line to walk. Super friendly and helpful with a genuine smile and easy to talk to. Knowledgeable and helpful about the menu and sake recommendations The food was top notch. Best sushi I've had since my Japan trip. Hard to pick a winner. Everything was very good. Likely can't go wrong with th entire menu which is pretty extensive. Many dishes I've never seen at other Japanese spots Definitely recommended whether you're staying at the hotel or not

4/5 Hidden gem in corporate park inside of APA Woodbridge hotel. Fresh sushi and lunch specials hard to beat ranging from$15-23 dollars and includes a edamame and miso soup. The menus are on iPads which is unique. Sushi fresh and tasty. Must ask for low sodium soy sauce and condiments are limited no chili oil, only siracha. The Poké bowl size is deceiving it's a shallow bowl with white rice in tuna, salmon and shrimp on top of the side of wasabi and a little bit of lettuce. The fried chicken garage was a good serving for a shareable appetizer. Ambiance 4/5 quite quiet and nice can hear yourself talking it's just had awkward beams in middle of restaurant mind your head if you tall like me. Service 3/5 seems they are a bit short handed and waiter did not know the lunch specials which it was in middle of lunch considering they only open from 12-2pm and it was 12:30pmish. Also, was going to try dessert but by the time he brought the menu, you never came back and then we had to go so and I was very interested in trying the Matcha crème brûlée he suggested for being located in the office corporate park you would think they would be more efficient, considering people are working in time is limited usually.

those who know about aoi, know! this place is a hidden gem in central jersey. it's an unassuming hotel lobby restaurant, but the quality of fish here is top tier. i like to take my parents here for dinner celebrations and we have left pleased every time. from the cooked menu, try the chawanmushi and tatsuta age! and for the raw menu, definitely have their different selections of toro and uni. one thing i will mention is that you should be prepared to wait if you dine here. i have only come on weekends when i assume it's a bit busier, but there has consistently been a considerable window of time between ordering and when our food reaches our table. i can tell the difference when a chef puts their heart and soul into preparing a meal, so even if it may test your patience, it's well worth the wait!
