The restaurant is spacious, and its ambiance is refined. Its décor combines a display of original works by Cuban painters and Oriental vases. The menu, prepared by a Cuban chef, is diverse, with various starters, main courses, and desserts. As main course I ordered lacón, the kind I remembered eating in Cuba, which is not easy to find in New York. My wife had sea bass. Our dishes were all very good. We were very pleased. My wife favorite was a starter called “Discovery”. I particularly enjoyed the flan. Our only recommendation has to do with the music, which was only Salsa while we were there. In our opinion, the addition of other types of Cuban music could enhance the experience. The owners do not have a liquor license yet. Forewarned, we were able to bring our own bottle of wine. “I decided to try a sandwich from this restaurant for the first time. I just ordered a hot chicken cutlet sub and it was the best sandwich I have ever had!! The chicken was cooked and seasoned perfectly, the lettuce and tomato were extremely fresh, the bread was also freshly baked! The food is so clean which is the most important and the service was phenomenal. Sweet beautiful young girl rang me up, and that just elevated the entire experience.
