“This place has the best Indian cuisine in town! Definitely worth it. Jami is so helpful and patient when I’m trying to order takeout. Jami and the other staff are always so kind to answer any questions I have about certain dishes and food items. I hope to try the lunch buffet sometime soon— there’s many delicious meals to choose from. I usually order Vegetable Samosas, Paneer Masala with Basmati Rice and Garlic Tandoori Naan. I also love the Mango Lassi and the Masala Chai. Everything is fresh and the service is exceptional. “If you’re from Maharashtra and are tired of substandard pav bhaji and vada pav at every Indian restaurant, then behold - this is the greatest pav bhaji you’ll find in the state.First up - they have the pav that is the closest to what you can get in Maharashtra. Recently, I took a few work acquaintances here, and they had nooooo idea what Indian food even was, let alone what to expect. For working professionals who are not able to cook on their own, this tiffin service is amazing. $15 gets you the following: 4 Rotis, dal, Sabzi, and rice. So I ordered 2 chicken kadai (each comes with a rice) and 2 egg biryani, and an order of samosas. I've never tried either of the dishes but figured why not? It's BOGO and I can expand my palette on Indian food. I really liked the chicken kadai. The chicken was nice and tender, and the sauce was the perfect amount of spicy. The egg biryani was just okay - basically just seasoned rice with hard boiled egg. I probably wouldn't get this again. Samosas were pretty standard.The portions are big. We had SO much food that we had to eat this across 4 meals. Needless to say, we were pretty tired of eating it by the end. I probably wouldn't do the BOGO option again, but I would like to dine in and try some other dishes fresh.“

“In my experience, this is the best Indian restaurant hands-down journal Square. I recently moved to Harrison and I will still come to journal Square to get Indian food from here. “You find great food in unassuming places.Bornali cafe's malai chop sweet is one of the best Bangladeshi mishti I have had in a long time. I am not a fan of overly sweet desserts. Their malai chop has the right combination of sweetness which complements milky syrup it is drenched. Imagine the most delicious chana has a love child with the rasmalai of your dream that is his I would describe the malai chop. I would visit that place again only for that. The Vegetable Samosa~ The Classic (V) was a good app, crispy on the outside and flavorful on the inside. The Chicken Tikka Masala and Tashan Lamb Korma were delicious and more than enough food. Would highly recommend getting the Garlic Naan and/or the Garlic Rosemary Naan. They were our favorites. I would definitely come back here again.“
