“This is a very special place run by a husband and wife team. Everything is made fresh and the flavours are unbelievable! Walking in and being welcomed immediately by a tea and hot soup is truly a warm hug on a cold St. John’s day. The owners are some of most kind and pleasant people I have met. “TRY BEVS TACO!! It can be difficult to find vegan/veg food that is so full of flavour, but poyo + the sprout does such a great job. I love their hummus and their tacos are amazing! The restaurant is pretty cramped, and I can imagine it would be uncomfortable if it was a full house - good thing they also do takeout!“

“I'm not a huge fan of fish and chips in general, but I've taken it upon my self to try as many fish and chips places around St. John's as possible to see if I can find one that I like. This is by FAR the best I've had. The fries are good, but the fish is tops. The batter is so crispy and almost has the texture of a cheese puff. The fish is incredibly tender and soft. And the location is incredible too.They only take cash, but have an ATM.“

“Our server was friendly and the food was hot and tasty. The only thing that was strange about our visit was the manager going to tables asking how things were but it just looked like a customer. I suggest that the manager wear a name tag at least or a Montana's shirt so your customers are not taken back by a stranger coming to their table.“

The tartare, duck nuggets ( or duggets as we renamed them! ) and truffle fries were fresh and amazing. We had a selection of drinks and really enjoyed the originality and presentation. “We love this place, and the food is amazing. However, when I paid the bill, the tip seemed to be charged in the number I paid with my card without letting me know (i.e. the number in the check was lower than the number in the machine), so I ended up adding more tip. I do not mind paying a higher tip to people who work hard, but I would like it to be my conscious choice. I realized it too late to say anything, but please take it into consideration. If it was an honest mistake, we all make them, but I do hope it is not a practice.“

“This place is really good. They have some really nice kids menus in the atmosphere is pretty cool. They have TVs playing and I remember going there as a small kid and watching the cartoon channel. The food is really delicious but it is kind of expensive. The service is always nice, but I'm not trying to be rude when I say this, but there may be a bit of a language barrier, so be prepared for a little bit of patience other than that this place is simply great“
