My fondest childhood memories were of having Mexican food here with my grandparents. The Ruiz, Armstrong, and Roseberry family always had their lunches together their. I always got rice and beans and a burrito of some sort depending on my mood, but to this day, and perhaps it is romanticized a bit, but I can never find as good of salsa, rice, or beans. No matter where I go, Margo's still holds the bar as high as my grandmother's cooking. I remember the peppermint patties my Papaw bought us after each time we dined with you guys. This isn't so much a review, I suppose, but a thank you letter, for all the amazing experiences our family had with you when I was growing up. I am so glad to see you're still going strong! The memories of your first location are the strongest, but of course you needed more room, and I remember that transition as well. Now it's been a few years ? and just had to peek and see how you guys were.A Happy Customer,Lilly (Margo's lover since the 1990's..ish ?❤️)

This place use to be ok but lately your food comes wrong and when sent back it still comes wrong. I order cheese enchiladas and what do you know, there was NO CHEESE in the enchiladas!! Not even any onions inside the enchiladas. It only had red sauce and a very small amount of cheese on top. I recommend going somewhere else

Excellent service and great authentic NM flavors. I asked the universe to take us to a good Mexican food restaurant and after turning into the walmart parking lot i saw Margos to the left and if your a gme ape after seeing a GameStop near by I knew it was gonna be awesomesauce and it was. Had the 5 cheese enchiladas special and it took me back to my childhood. I can tell this place is really trying to do the best they can in this craziness we all are in and i would highly recommend giving them a try.

Margo's is such an amazing place to eat Mexican food! They know what they r doing when making all the food. Great taste and just the right amount of hot chili. Thank y'all for making all the food for my Birthday! Everyone was so impressed with all the food! Y'all are truly the best!! We can't wait to go back to your restaurant to have an amazing dinner there!!The Overby Family

Food was awful and you could tell all our food was microwaved. The beans had a wierd taste and were dry and undercooked. They give you a small handful of chips. Then we ordered chile con queso and they didnt include more chips with it. My mom was a huge fan of it before covid so we made the drive to Alamogordo just to eat there. NEVER AGAIN.

Thank goodness they were open everything else was closed. They were very lovely snd helpful, the enchiladas were great. The ground beef potato green Chile was awsome says my husband. 5 stars and the price was not expensive at all.

Best Mexican Food in Alamogordo! An authentic taste of the southwest, full of local flavor and tradition! It's so good that I used to have dreams about Margo's red sauce during the 10 years I lived in Florida I missed it so much. A friend even overnighted me some of Margo's Chili Rellenos once I was so home sick for real Mexican food.

Food came out fairly quick and wait staff was good. Food, however was not. The chicken and green sauce tasted like fish, and the chicken was an odd color.

Everyone was very nice there. We all felt the food was ok but it wasn't anything special. Just one example is the taco shells didn't have to be made from scratch but they could have at least fried soft corn tortillas to make the food seem more authentic instead of using boxed taco shells like fast food places do.

Just moved here so trying our local restaurants and we decided to try Margo's. First impression was that it was a cute little restaurant but the fire thing we didn't like was the fact that they don't sell alcohol. I like my tacos and tequila but that's just me. Food was meh, probably would've been better at Taco Bell. Service was good but there was also hardly anybody there so.

One of the better options for Mexican food in town. Negative is the staff, they generally tend to stand around and watch people eat which is awkward and makes the experience less pleasant. Quick service and good food though.

Excellent TexMex food. Tamales and rellenos were especially good.

Was ok food. Waited 45 minutes for lunch with really no one in the place. At the end one guy was pretty rude. All in all I would suggest si senior. They always have great service and food :)
