If you are looking for Mexican food more reminiscent of California/Tijuana style, this is the place. Highly recommend it.The carne asada fries and California burrito are the best that I've had in Albuquerque. The carne asada is well seasoned, and the fries are crispy. There is just the right amount of guacamole, sour cream, and cheese.The truck is usually fairly busy every time I stop by in the evening, even later at night, but food is cooked pretty fast.
I tried the tripa, lengua y carne asada. Tacos came out big and stuffed full. The tripa was great as people have said. As for the carne asada I slightly prefer El paisa, this one was a bit dry for me. Overall it was a great meal. Husband is vegetarian and he got sopes sin carne. Can't speak to that, but he enjoyed it.Vegetarian options: Sopes without meat (beans and cheese only)
