After checking in at the holiday inn I drove the opposite direction of the chain restaurant bars and came across this place. Not much from the outside but.Great food, prices were fare. Service was excellent. Big portions. I will be back next trip. Best Carnes asada I have had. I live in san diego county.
Today for lunch, I wanted BBQ, I heard a new restaurant was in business where the Quarters BBQ was on Yale and they had the Quarters BBQ, I'm please to YES and it tasted better than I remembered it. I had the Solo plate, 1/2 Brisket, Bean & Rice, I enjoyed every bite, I enjoyed it so much I was 15 minutes late back to work.

This place is in the old Quarters. We were looking for ribs for a family get together and were reminiscing about Quarters ribs. Discovered that La Serinita has the same ribs, same recipe, same sauce! They were everything we wanted. Also got Mac and cheese and coleslaw. Everything was a huge hit. And I won't gloss over the amazing service! Marco was so helpful in taking my order and making sure I knew how to hear everything up! Can't wait to go try some of their own recipes soon...read full review
