Had the opportunity to eat food from La Sirenita, and found it to be quality, with great service. Although mainly Mexican food, I had BBQ and it was delicious. I would recommend.

This place is in the old Quarters. We were looking for ribs for a family get together and were reminiscing about Quarters ribs. Discovered that La Serinita has the same ribs, same recipe, same sauce! They were everything we wanted. Also got Mac and cheese and coleslaw. Everything was a huge hit. And I won't gloss over the amazing service! Marco was so helpful in taking my order and making sure I knew how to hear everything up! Can't wait to go try some of their own recipes soon and have one of the margaritas on their menu!

Went in for the first time for Friday lunch. Place was nearly empty, which is not a good sign, but I was hungry. Chips and salsa ended up being chips served with a weird tomatillo aoli--yuck. Ordered green chili chicken nachos--not good. Chicken was a reheated, artificial tasting, pre-cooked frozen chicken with fake charring, not fresh. Queso was not good either, and both the green chili and refried beans were without flavor. I'm never going back. I ate about one quarter of it and felt icky for the rest of the day. Oh well, I gave them a shot.

After checking in at the holiday inn I drove the opposite direction of the chain restaurant bars and came across this place. Not much from the outside but.Great food, prices were fare. Service was excellent. Big portions. I will be back next trip. Best Carnes asada I have had. I live in san diego county.

Today for lunch, I wanted BBQ, I heard a new restaurant was in business where the Quarters BBQ was on Yale and they had the Quarters BBQ, I'm please to YES and it tasted better than I remembered it. I had the Solo plate, 1/2 Brisket, Bean & Rice, I enjoyed every bite, I enjoyed it so much I was 15 minutes late back to work.

Not much to look at from outside and felt more like walking into a bar. Service was quick once seated at the tables behind the bar. Went at an off time and there were no other patrons there other than someone at the bar. Lighting was a bit dim.A bunch of things were ordered but the only thing that stood out was the Birria Plate. I would get that again and would be ok skiping everything else. More like a 3 and half stars

This place is so awesome we went twice in one day! Since it's walking distance from the UNM stadium, it's a great place to hang out pre or post game. The menu is a fantastic mix of birria and other Mexican food items and BBQ offerings from The Quarters, and all of it is amazing. There's a full bar, the staff is friendly, helpful and efficient (we brought twenty people after the Isleta Bowl, no issues at all). Can't wait to go again.
