When my wife and I arrived we were greeted by a pleasant hostess and our waiter, Gabe, was friendly and attentive. We had an appetizer and a drink and decided to order our entrees to take home. For the second order in a row, Little Anita's, in Old Town, has messed up the order. Today they provided slimy lettuce on a Green Chili burger. Luckily, due to a Gluten intolerance, the burger was ordered with no bun. Otherwise, I would have missed the slime and probably be writing this...read full review

Greeted as I entered by a friendly welcoming staff, quickly seated and brought water, fresh brewed iced tea and as I gazed the menu I found things I had never tried before, the staff answering any questions I had and very willing to accommodate my hunger, ordering Huevos Rancheros, with side sopapilla, it was absolutely delicious, I had asked what a stuffed sopapilla was they explained, but I did not order one as it contained mushroom, staff made me a...read full review
Took money from card and then said they had a system issue. Asked to run card again but all money was taken from the account. Refused to help or even make order. Have to now wait for bank to open in the morning to dispute charge. Never going here again.

Little Anita's New Mexican Food is a charming restaurant that provides a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The service is prompt and friendly, with attentive servers ready to meet diners' needs. The menu features a variety of traditional New Mexican dishes, including the unique Sopapillas, which are a specialty of the region and known to be undeniably perfect. The food is flavorful and reasonably priced, with decent options for vegetarians. Some menu items, such as the Carnitas and burgers, are well-received, although some guests have noted that the Carnitas can be greasy. The beef chimichanga is highly recommended as it was found to be amazing. However, there have been mixed reviews about other items like the rice and pork, with some saying the rice tastes like it was from a boiled bag. The red sauce is noted to be better than the green. The restaurant is clean and well-maintained, including the bathrooms and take-out area, although the decor is dated and the take-out area lacks decoration. There is ample parking in a private lot, although only one handicap parking space is available. Overall, Little Anita's is a solid choice for those seeking good food and friendly service in a casual setting, though some recent experiences suggest that service can vary.
