This is one of my favorite restaurants. The food is always delicious especially the Flautas and Queso dip. The swirl margaritas are the best. Will definitely be back.

The atmosphere is nice, cute and dim and feels homey. We went in and were sat and immediately noticed a weird grinding reverb sound that kept coming and going. We asked about it and the waitress first said she couldn't hear it, then said the restaurant was too full for us to be moved. So we ordered. The appetizer was pretty good. We got our food and it was pretty strange. Perhaps it's a style of New Mexican we just don't know about, but we didn't like it. The red chile was very concentrated, like it needed to be cut with beef broth. The green chile was watered down. None of it was good. We decided to skip dessert and go, but it took ages to get boxes and the check. The server kept forgetting about us. By the time we got home, my husband felt sick and threw up his food. Overall, just was not a good experience and could not recommend it.

There were 4 of us there together, and every one of us had issues with our food, the service, and the atmosphere. The seasoning tasted like powdered Old El Paso packets, the chili rellenos had a sweet batter, my coffee was cold, we weren't offered tells on our water....

Nice place. Food is very good but not very different or special from lower priced restaurants, and the chips were very hard. Service was ok. The place was a little loud.

Tomasita's in Albuquerque serves a taste of New Mexican cuisine, but it leaves much to be desired. Despite commendable service, the dining experience fell short due to excessively spicy chile that bordered on overwhelming and a lackluster ambience. I ordered the Chimayo Plate which included a tamale and enchilada, though traditional, the flavor was overpowered by the spice. Moreover, the atmosphere failed to enhance the overall dining experience. With better New Mexican options available in town, Tomasita's may not be the top choice for those seeking exceptional cuisine in a cozy setting.

Their food is pretty good. BUT they do NOT season their pinto beans. Like at all. I asked a waitress and she gave me an excuse about being gluten free. That’s just lazy. Spices don’t have gluten. When my family comes to town they often want to eat here and I’m hoping under my breath we don’t because I hate unseasoned food. Like I could not season food at home. I hope they see this and I hope they start seasoning their beans because I really want to try that vegetarian sopapilla with peppers and beans someday.
Tomasitas is the absolute BEST New Mexican food in town! Their red chili and sopapaillas are bar none the BEST!
