“I love this place and the family who owns it they are the most beautiful people you could ever meet there food is cooked with all there heart and it shows thank you lady's for the amazing customer service I'm a life time buyer now ❤️?❤️? God bless you all, community you have to check this place out I am a very picky person. And it passed my personal inspection and taste test”
“We've discovered another yummy and affordable reason to eat regularly at Pete's - 'Taco Tuesday!' Pete's won't be just a treat for dinner with our out-of-town guests anymore.”
“2 locations to serve you Los Lunas and Belen. We usually eat at the Belen location which kind of hides across the street from McDonalds and same center as Subway. I like their 2 Relleno plate for $10.99 with Spanish rice and beans. Served with fresh Sopapillas.”
“I enjoy the choices of food that you can select from. The green chili stew is excellent. It would be nice if you came with some garnish, like lettuce and tomato. Be nice it also came with some cheese on the side and some crackers. One complaint I do have is when food is served onto one plate liquidy foods tend to merge and it becomes very soggy.Make the effort to place the sides on individual small dishes. It makes a difference.”
“American breakfast food was average. New Mexican food was fantastic! Service was average, the server seemed overwhelmed. Not a busy place, but it seemed like one server for the whole floor, which was expansive. They seemed to be preparing for a very large party to come in. Spoke to the owner, Izzy, who seems very involved and passionate about his business. He says they use this place for large parties and a weekly rotary club meeting. He also says they use the parking lot for food trucks and pop-up restaurants. How cool!”
“They had their store at an event, they had a menu for Kids!! My daughter ordered the Hulk, their refreshing green drink for the event, they had different options. I hope to go to your location in Belen. Very kind to assist you.”
“Had lunch here today,AMAZING!! Love the retro feel of the bar area. Unfortunately, with the recent passing of the owner of the alcohol license they are currently unable to serve alcohol but are in the process of getting their own license. Knowing they serve North Carolina style BBQ, I was excited for their bbq sauces that I’ve heard so much about. Being in New Mexico they put their own spin on some classic faves like their mac and cheese. Can’t wait to return.”
“Always a great burger ? I live in Albuquerque and found this place because I'm a truck driver. I looked up a burger place on my route home a few years ago, and this place popped up, and im happy it did. I go whenever I get the time. I do take my tractor and 53ft trailer here every now and then. They do have a dirt lot to park the rig in between Mike's and the gas station there. 10/10 place for food. It's not a fast food place, more of a restaurant, and can get pretty busy, so make sure you have about 40 min to spare.”
“It is so nice to see a young business know the importance of customer service! I don't visit the café a lot. In fact, this was only the second time I was there, and she remembered me, kudos for her. I will always stop by when I have an appointment downtown.”
“This cafe is a little gem in the middle of a small town. We have drove past it many times didn't know it was there. Family owned with great food give your hungry to a small business you won't be sorry ?”
“I had a half pound burger with green chilies and bacon-it was great!! I'm up in Albuquerque, but I will make the effort to bring some others down here to eat. The dine in area was very clean, also.”
“This is a really cute small local place in Belen. It has a classic vibe with the painted brick walls and barrel lights. The service was great and friendly! The steak is amazing! My son and hubby had the filet mignon, I had the ribeye and my daughter had the steak fajitas. All had great flavor and cooked to perfection! I had the loaded baked potato and salad sides and the boys had loaded potato and cole slaw. The potatoes were well cooked and the slaw was great. We also started with mozzarella sticks and a blooming onion. The onion was hand made from a fresh onion, hand cut and lightly seasoned and breaded. It was delicious by itself and with ranch. The mozzarella sticks were typical cheese sticks. We had a nice time and found a new favorite steak house. We enjoy supporting local businesses! Thank you!”
“So we ordered 2 hand held burritos. We landed up with 2 burritos in a plastic container the tortillas we’re not rolled. It was a mess. My husband went back in to complain the manager didn’t make it right. She didn’t care to make it right. We used to love to eat here. But not anymore. This was the second time they did this to us. Never coming back. How hard is it to make 2 hand held burritos? If Max was still around this would have not happened. Very disappointed. Food is good but service sucked.”
“Great little spot in Belen. It's really cool sitting there to eat and watch the freight trains roll in. The food is really good. The owners are super nice. They have a train that suspends from the ceiling. Other people that came were nice too. I will absolutely be back for the food and atmosphere.”
“I like to order their tacos with carne asada, cilantro, and onions, and a squeeze of lime over them. They are the best. Staff is always polite, and friendly, and I appreciate it.”
