6 Best American Restaurants near Belen

Oasis Cafe American • $
620 E River Rd, Belen

“American breakfast food was average. New Mexican food was fantastic! Service was average, the server seemed overwhelmed. Not a busy place, but it seemed like one server for the whole floor, which was expansive. They seemed to be preparing for a very large party to come in. Spoke to the owner, Izzy, who seems very involved and passionate about his business. He says they use this place for large parties and a weekly rotary club meeting. He also says they use the parking lot for food trucks and pop-up restaurants. How cool!“

“It is so nice to see a young business know the importance of customer service! I don't visit the café a lot. In fact, this was only the second time I was there, and she remembered me, kudos for her. I will always stop by when I have an appointment downtown.“

“Stop by from Abq on the way to see the Harvey House Museum. The food, alone, was worth the drive. I had the two meat platter with very tender Brisket and pulled pork. Very good, but the star was my partner's Loaded baked potato topped with Brisket (or pork for another option). It was huge and delicious. Everything was great with good portions and a very fair price.Service was friendly and atmosphere was nice.Definitely worth the drive!“

Hub City Brewing Co. Brewery • $$
202 De Soto Ave, Belen

“Love love love!! As new Belen residents, we were really keeping our fingers crossed that the one local watering hole would be a good one - lucky us, Hub City is a gem! Seating offerings include a small interior with tables and large outdoor area. We really need a little renovation in my opinion though, because I need a rail so I can sit and chat with Cyndi (the owner) and not block up the queue! Cyndi and the crew were so welcoming and lovely, we can't wait to go back.Beers were delicious, the in-house Hub City ones were very fruity forward (we had a pumpkin and a citrus forward beer) and we also appreciated the other local options they carried. Food was great too, the pulled pork sandwich was smoked to perfection!“
