Went for lunch. The pulled pork was very good and juicy!! The brisket tasted good but was kind of dry and chewy. The mashed potatoes and potato salad both tasted homemade and were both also really good. Loved that we can get to-go cups for drinks! 4 stars for the brisket being dry and no beer. If you're looking to have a drink with your meal there's no alcohol. The service was great!! Also the prices were very reasonable.

The brisket was cold and dry. You can’t serve cold food. And whoever owns this place should get down on the ground and thank the Lord for the oilfield because that’s the only reason why this place is open.

I got in to Carlsbad kinda late one night and needed dinner. I wanted to get something kinda quick and to go, but didn’t want fast food.We stopped at Danny’s thinking we’d get just that. Unfortunately we were disappointed. I had a smothered burrito that just wasn’t good. ? The flavors were blah, the beef was weird… I hardly ate any of it.I don’t want to seem like a downer because I know other people enjoy it at Danny’s, I just didn’t.They have done a great job of making the restaurant a nice cute place where you feel like you’re in grandma’s kitchen.

Was sat by the hostess at a table in the middle of the room. Waited for over 10 minutes to be handed a menu and a minimum acknowledged by a server. After two other tables were seated and handed menus shortly after sitting I decided to just leave.Maybe food was good but the lack of service killed it for me.

Good BBQ and good service. My wife had the hamburger and enjoyed it. I had a two meat plate and my son had the pulled pork sandwich. All good. Particularly loved the sweet bbq-sauce. The french-fries were unique and good stuff. Fried okra was standout.
Excellent BBQ - highly recommend the ribs. The sweet potato fries are waffle cut and cooked to perfection. Brisket had incredible texture, and benefits from sauce to really come alive. Definitely recommend!!

Enjoyed a great dinner here after seeing the caves. Very happy with the kids menu. Something for everyone. The fries were unique and delicious. Good bbq, fingers, and burgers.Kid-friendliness: Good kids menu. We had four with us and everyone was happy. The Fanta fruit punch was a big hit!

Food is great but I ordered through a delivery app they never picked it up so I had to not the restaurants fault. But I picked up my food and had to go out on a call got done and was thinking I would get to finally eat my dinner just to realize the restaurant did not include utensils.. other than that they should be open more hard to catch them open.

EXACTLY what you'd expect from a barbecue place! From the traditional barbecue decor to the perfectly smoked meats, to the tasty desserts, you're sure to enjoy every minute and every bite. The French fries are a very interesting cut, crispy on the outside, very tasty. The sweet potato fries are served with syrup, but you likely won't need it. I had the 3 meat dinner and mom had the ribs. Everything was very enjoyable. Our server, Kristin, was very attentive and friendly.Also, I don't think it's a leap to say that this place serves THE BEST sweet tea in all of Carlsbad.Highly recommend!Parking: Spacious parking lot with clear lines painted, leaving room for drive-thru.
