I love to stop here for beer and a pizza after a long day on the mountain….and sometimes I just drive up from Albuquerque because the vibe is great! Superb outdoor seating amongst the forest, occasional live music, phenomenal pizza and delicious beer! Rumor is the ideal spot for a pit stop when passing through Cedar Crest.

If you ever get the chance to play music at Rumor Brewing Co DON’T!!!!!!! Played there in January and it’s been like pulling teeth to get paid, also it’s only 100 dollars for a 3 hour set. It shouldn’t be this hard to get a hold of the owner, but he’s never there. It’s sad because I really liked that place and the staff is great, but the way it’s ran is absolutely ridiculous.It’s not even about the money at this point I don’t want anyone else to have to go through this.Update: now he says he won’t pay me unless I take this post down.Update: the music coordinator for the weekend entertainment Javier Ortega got ahold of me and was super respectful and professional about the whole deal and informed me that the check is in the mail and apologized for the lack of communication. I think he understands the frustration that us musicians go through because he is an entertainer as well. So I do appreciate him reaching out.But like I said it isn’t about the money for me at this point the owner needs to know he can’t push people under the rug and just forget about them and not try and communicate.

Doesn't pay their performers at all! Then when you do try and get your money they with hold it saying tough luck. They want free business and they take advantage of people. Would leave 0 Starz if possible. Do better and stop being so greedy

This establishment is withholding an owed payment to a local musician (see the unacceptable behavior from the establishment in the photo below).Also, it takes them way too long to prepare food, the order is often wrong or incomplete, and the service is frequently sub-par. A well deserved single star.

DO NOT support this business. DO NOT partner with this business. This brewery is unethical in their business practice. An artist performed at this establishment back in January it is now march and the artist still has not been paid. The artist had to contact multiple times in previous engagements to no success to receive their check, they tried multiple times to get through to someone to get paid with no luck. Most recently the artist was sent a text message stating that they were going to withhold the artists check until the artist took down an unfavorable review (which is illegal). even if you liked this Business, they do not deserve support due to shady dealings.
