Nestled in the heart of Cibola National Forest, this camp ground offers scenic views with a family atmosphere. Just outside of Albuquerque and minutes from the Sandia ski area, you won't have a problem finding the getaway you've been looking for. Amazing place to stay! The people at this campground were so nice, and I was amazed by all the amenities here, especially the sink with soap and sponges for dishwashing. We drove over from Phoenix for the solar eclipse, and they told us that we could watch the whole thing from our campsite, which we didn't know, but we ended up doing that and it was amazing. We’ve stayed here before and will come back. It’s a great location in Cedar Crest outside of Albuquerque to the east. We like the natural surroundings and altitude. The people are friendly and reasonable rates. They have cabins. There are many full timers here and some of the spaces are junky looking. Also, be aware the gravel roads coming in can be muddy if there have been rains or snows. This is our preferred place when we come to Albuquerque.
