Some of the best Mexican food I’ve eaten. Just don’t get a margarita because it was the worst one I’ve ever had! No flavor at all.

Our waitress was precious but the food was tasteless and presented poorly on the plate. This restaurant used to be beautiful but is no longer well kept.

A really nice restaurant serving excellent authentic New Mexican food, the staff were attentive and extremely pleasant. It's a pity I live 5000 miles away or I would be back often!

Wonderful authentic Mexican food! Hazel (the owner) was so very pleasant and welcoming. We highly recommend it. Say hi to Hazel!

I was hesitant to eat here even though it had good reviews, only because we live in a place that has awesome Mexican food. The building looks a little worn and the sofa, chips and salsa were okay. However, the food was really good! It was well priced and each of my family members all agreed their meal tasted great. The waitress was so nice. We even were surprised sopapillas and honey came with our entree. I would stop here again.

Excellent!! Great service! Wonderful food. I ordered the Green Chili Stew. Wow. It had a perfect kick to it and was full of chili, tomatoes and chicken. My mother had the Navajo taco- that was full with taco fillings, and was cooked to perfection. Before our meal arrived, we had chips and homemade salsa delivered. After the meal we were given sopapillas. Great stop!

Used to be really great. Favorite menu items are now gone, what remains has been altered and quality has been terrible for last three visits. Tasted like old fried food from a gas station. Spent $60 and could not finish - made us very nauseous. Everything was cold, extremely greasy and must have sat there for hours before being served. Tasted old and awful each time for last three visits so we will no longer be dining here. McDonalds wouldn’t have been as greasy or cold.

Everything we ordered was delicious-fajita plate, quesadillas, fajita taco, El Bruno combo! Fried flour tortilla strips that came with green chili queso were light, airy & Crispy, so good! The queso was very flavorful with the green Chili’s! The sopapillas were excellent! The Aztec ambiance of the building is so charming & warm. Our waiter was very attentive. When we come through Cuba again we hope we can stop here.

Staying overnight in town and came for dinner after driving all day. Everything was delicious and the service was friendly. Margaritas sure hit the spot, too!

As European tourists we were so lucky to find this gem of a restaurant in such a small village. My husband had the beef quesidilla and I couldn't choose so had the "taste of el Bruno" appetizer as an entree. The chips and salsa that came free with the food were a treat. The salsa was excellent. We sat outside on the covered terrace enjoying the beautifull decorated place, adobe walls, Mexican colours. The staff was accomodation and friendly although they had just had a full house with graduation guests. A hidden gem and if we ever are in Cuba again, we will definatelly go eat here

Stopped at El Bruno’s in Cuba today based on reviews and it definitely did not disappoint! Towards the end of a 12 day road trip and one of the best meals we had. I had the shredded beef stuffed sopapilla and my husband the chicken enchiladas. We also had the chili con queso. Everything was fresh and hot and seasoned perfectly. The chips with the queso were fried tortilla strips cooked when we ordered them. They were so good!! And as great as the food was, our waiter Elijah was even better! A nice personable funny young man. Go out of your way to eat here! We’ll definitely be back when we’re in the area.

We had a party of 10 and I hate when restaurants automatically add a tip onto the check whenever you have a larger party, for the service knows they are going to get paid and don't have to worry about getting you any service. To get our party of 10 they put us in one of their back rooms. The waiter took our drink order and wanted to do the food order at the same time, but we had just sat down. He brought the drinks and took our food order about 10 minutes later. About 15 minutes later by brother-in-law got the drink pictures and refilled our drinks, for service had not come back. The server brought and dropped off our food and didn't even ask if we needed anything or ever came back. We had to go ask for lemonade for it was not in a picture and by this time all the pictures were empty anyway. From the time we ordered our food until he brought the food was 25 minutes and not one time during that time did he come back to our table. After he dropped off the food we ate, filled our own drinks, had to go get the lemonade and in that 30 minutes we never saw him. We actually had to get he check at the front when we were leaving for he had never brought it to us and then we get charged 20% gratuity for no service. Service should be a "0" We had 9 different orders of food and of the 9, 3 were ranked as really good, 3 as good, 2 poor and 1 as bad...so food gets a "3". We will not be going back to this restaurant again and we used to eat there about every 3 months as we passed through Cuba.

Been coming here often after hiking at Chaco park. The food has been decent here - but tonight our waitress (Cheyenne - her name on the bill) was NOT wearing her mask while serving food. She was wearing her mask under her CHIN the whole night, staff did not correct her. We are in the midst of the worst stage of the pandemic. How disgusting, selfish, and inconsiderate. Cheyenne could make many people sick & die - because she stupidly would not wear a mask! SHES SERVING FOOD - MAKE HER WEAR A DAMN MASK! We liked this restaurant so much - enough to come to at least 6 times - but now we will never go back. Cheyenne the waitress was making us so uncomfortable- she would talk to us without her mask on! We didn't have the courage to say anything. We just kept leaning away from her. We were hoping we could ask another waiter to tell Cheyenne to put her mask on. But none of the other waiters came by. The hostess ignored her too. Please correct her. Please don't make customers uncomfortable. There is a terrible transmissible variant out right now. And if your restaurant is this careless with covid - we can't trust your judgment - or your cooking. Disgusting.

One of the glories of Northern New Mexico is how most little towns have an excellent New Mexican diner. In Cuba, it's El Bruno's. To start with, best taquitos ever! Enchiladas were solid, and true to NNM restaurant form, the green chile cheeseburger was fantastic, even better than most by high local standards. The building is a little odd, but the dining room is nicely done, and service is welcoming.

First off I have friends that love this place. I finally got around to trying it and just went with the “Taste of El Brunos” sampler. That came with quesadillas, taquitos, chile rellenos, adovada. I also got small thing of chips and salsa. Ordered it all to go. Maybe 15 minute wait. Total was around $15. They do have plenty of seats inside and some outside too. I thought the food was decent. Nothing really blew me away. All pretty standard. adovada had nice spice. When I saw it my fear was the taquitos were gonna be flimsy and soggy but they were crisp and crunchy. The place always seems to have a lotta people there so I’m sure I’m in the minority thinking it’s just OK. But having said that I’d like to return and try some other items on the menu.
