I was in the mall with some friends and we decided to stop at the food court. Obviously, at the food court you don't have high expectations. I had never dined at the Chinese Gourmet Express so I decided to give it a try. Afterwards I learned that I should probably have tried something else. Nothing was poor or terrible, but the food served here was really mediocre stuff....clearly below average. Food was fresh, clean, and enjoyable. The staff was knowledgeable with excellent customer service. They have and option to get steamed vegetables on the side. Would recommend over other American Chinese restaurants in town.

Service is fast and the food is filling. Yet the food itself isn’t the best by any means. The chow mein is greasy, the bourbon chicken and the orange chicken isn’t really that appetizing either. The fried rice is pretty decent and the beef and broccoli is honestly pretty good.Overall, It’s alright for a quick bite to eat on lunch break, but not that great either.
