10 am on Friday the selection of pastries was very limited. Some of the pastries were overcooked, dark brown on top and bottom. Does not compare to quality, service, price, friendly French geetings, and variety of different pastry options at Clafoutis Bakery and Cafe. We will not be returning.

This is a favorite for breakfast and/or brunch!! Everything from the pastries to the meals are fresh, delightful, mouth watering, and the atmosphere is quality with an overall feeling of visiting France! I consider this place a wonderful escape from typical diners ~ a must try!

If your looking for an amazing raisin roll that is light and delicate, then look no further then madame matisse. Its a mystery to me how he does it, but their pastries are as good as you get in Paris.....right here in Santa Fe. There are several other contenders in town, but they don't hold a candle to his baking..... good parking, can be very busy, I understand that he can have a vegetable lasagna that is amazing, but I am not sure about availability around other items....

This is one of my most favorite bakeries to visit in Santa Fe. The pastries are amazingly delicious! And I had a vanilla latte, and it was perfect with my croissant. I visited for my birthday and the service was so great and nice. I'm definitely going to come back again.

Please clean your espresso machine. ? My cappuccino smelled and tasted like old burnt coffee. Espresso based coffees need to come out of a clean machine. I usually don’t leave negative reviews but that was unfortunately a bad coffee.

They say all their items are homemade, but the first thing I saw as I walked in was a box of noodle soup, with artificial ingredients listed.
This was my second attempt to purchase pastries on a Friday before work. They are not open at 8 as on website.I finally went to door at 8:10 to ask when they open. I would have to wait another 30 minutes for pastries.If you say open at 8 am....should be completely open and with merchandise at 8 am! Will not give my business to Madame Matisse!

Madame Matisse is now opened on Mondays!!! Yeah. Excellent coffee as always and the pastries are wonderful. I tried the apricot tart, fresh apricots and flaky crust - really lovely. The service was efficient and gracious. Don't miss a chance to eat breakfast and/or lunch at this island of France here in Santa Fe!

Went to the #1 rated bakery on a Sunday to find it absolutely packed. Too long a wait for impatient people for a lite lunch. We got in the car and drove a few minutes to this gem of s place. Madame Matisse can be proud of its warm and friendly staff and its excellent quiches, salad and dressing. Best European coffee we have had in Santa Fe, as well We will return again.
