“Pretty close to perfection. 99 times out of 100, we grab up too many burritos here with the following only: Potato, green chile, egg, and cheese. The green chile is like no other, a sweet slow burn that lingers. I wish I could figure out how to do that homemade. Maybe I need to get a job here to learn the secret. They just re-opened after remodeling. I went there late in the afternoon and they told me they were out of anything breakfasty. After pouting, I decided to just try a chicken burrito, which was basic, but still had that incomparable Don Juan slow chile burn. It's not expensive. The only bad thing I can think of is that the drive-through is really partly made of a through street, but they keep things moving and soon you will be in the safety of the actual dirveway, and soon after that you will be parked on a side street wolfing your purchased treasure in culinary heaven. I hope I die before Don Juan's does, though of course at least a few more decades would be nice for us both.“
“This is a wonderful family restaurant.Serving new mexico style food.I had the meat stuffed sopapillia .It was absolutely delicious. This place was packed.I think next time I will go about one in the afternoon.I couldn't believe how fast they got the food out.My waitress Was as friendly and professional as one could be.I didn't catch your name.I was at table eighteen. They close at three pm so make sure you get there before.I highly recommend this place.Everything looked fantastic.Vegetarian options: You can have any dish with just being in cheese.“
“I love this place. It has the best New Mexican food I have found. This is nothing like the Mexican food you get in California. Everything is so perfect here. I like to just pick things up, but there's a lovely place to sit under the trees and have a nice lunch or a snack. This is very convenient to the downtown area, and a perfect place for people passing through town. The menu is wonderful! Enjoy!“
“Amazing food, great New Mexico green chili. Service was great, atmosphere good. Got the combo meal, The tacos were delicious. Enchiladas were nom nom nom. Still drooling, thinking about the food. Highly recommend this place 10 stars out of 5 ?.“
“We were road tripping and asked our hotel front desk clerk for a good Mexican restaurant. We're from Southern Oregon and don't have really good authentic Mexican food. We were given this establishment from our front desk lady at the hotel. Oh my, what a recommendation! Thee best Mexican food we have ever eaten. Both my husband and I were highly impressed. The menu specifically suggests asking for a sample of their homemade red and green spicey sauces due to having some heat to them. The green was amazing, and I never had anything compair. The red sauce was super good, too, just a bit hotter than I wanted. Their guacamole was made with jalapeños and was dank (super duper scrumptious)!!! The drinks hit the spot after a long drive, too.“
“Got the house special and it is a great way to try a little bit of everything. Red chile sauce is delicious and represents NM fare very well. The hidden gem is the carnitas. Order them crispy and you won't go wrong. Service is fast and friendly which is always a plus. Seems like they know the locals well and treat out of town visitors nicely.“
“On a wandering road trip with my wife staying the night in Silver. Googled restaurants in the area and decided to try Grinders. BEST DECISION of the day!! The red sauce is some of the best I have ever had. Just 3 words:GO THERE NOW! You will not be “
“Was coming back from the dentist on 32nd St., and put in restaurants near me on Google and this came up ! they do have vegetarian options, but I had the fish tacos?Parking: Yeah, there was parking right in front and they had picnic tables with a overhang“
“Corn tortillas were a little tough; rice was a little bland, but overall good food. Chili relleno was very good with just the right amount of batter; not too thick. Service was great. Prices are reasonable. We came in from Tucson, so we were happy to see the restaurant was open on a Sunday evening.Parking: Small crowded parking lot, and people park horribly, so that makes it even worse.“
“We ordered the plain Huevos Rancheros with red chile..... OMG...it was so good! $10 plate with potatoes and refried beans. It was the perfect breakfast! You can get either mild or hot Chile......we ordered hot. It was so good, I really think this is the best breakfast Huevos Rancheros in town! I know food is subjective, but we cleaned our plates! PLUS excellent value...we each had a Huevos Rancheros, and I had iced tea... with tax it cost $26!“
“Finally got to try Taste of Vegas and I'm so glad I made the trip. The restaurant feels like it's own little neighborhood, with super friendly and knowledgeable staff, comfortable seating, and fitting decor that is not overwhelming. It's easy to find a private little nook or seating for a large party (and everything in between). The food was made fresh to order and was absolutely delicious. I had the mushroom melt and opted for guac with the chips -- all of it was yummy! I am excited to go back and try other items on the menu, which includes a good variety of foods and tastes. This place is an absolute gem!Vegetarian options: Not many vegan options (although my guess is they could be special ordered), but there are numerous vegetarian options (sandwiches, wraps, pizza, salads) that should meet different tastes/cravings.“
