Had a good meal hear on our second night in Taos. ( my family has eaten at other Heritage properties) The food was good I had the steak and my wife had the pasta. Both were delicious and the desert was pretty phenomenal get the Smore! Service was fine and probably my only complaint was our waitress was pleasant but overall friendly and with so few people not as attentive as expected. I actually had to get up and get my own drink when wanted to what whiskeys they had. I would have figured she could have either suggested one or restaurant should make a list of what they have. I feel if I have to get up and look myself then that takes away from the experience. I really enjoyed the meal and again the food is good . So this complaint is really just for constructive criticism

The Anaconda Bar was the best part of the El Monte Sagrado hotel experience. I had the perfect margarita and the flat bread special - with all sorts of veg on it. So good.

I took my wife as a surprise for her 50th birthday. The food, the bar, the dessert, it was all perfect! The only possible complaint is they could put felt sliders under the chairs so it didnt make so much noise when someone stood up from a table. This truly was 1 of the best restaurant meals I have ever eaten in my life.

This is a gem in Taos. If you've been to Taos, then you know. In a place where finding good food is an expedition, finding this place was lifesaving. The restaurant is located inside a beautiful hotel. The ambiance is actually better than it appears in photos. The bar also has a great vibe. Service was good. Food was surprisingly good too. Highly recommend in the Taos area.

This place used to have a great bar menu--from flatbread pizza to the best fried calamari in town--and then it disappeared. The ambience was always tacky cocktail lounge with mediocre Indian art, but the menu made it special.

Had the best Bloody Mary ever, made by Paul. Paul was very welcoming and friendly. Beautiful place, very chill vibe. Had the tacos and fish and chips, both were amazing. 4 cocktails and 2 entrees were $105. Will definitely stop again when we are in Taos.Parking: It's an old building without much parking. I will absolutely valet next time.

Limited menu. I had read that the artichoke heart dish was so good, but it was actually all fried and thus not really what I was looking for in a salad. Margarita was quite sweet. Beautiful dining room.

Stayed for a few days at this beautiful hotel that has the most amazingggg restaurant inside There were so many things we tried and can't complain about anything at all. From the food, the waitstaff, the bar staff, the drinks. Most importantly the Chef.... Cristina Martinez. She is absolutely brilliant. Everything was such an amazing experience. The appetizers were so so so good. The balance of all the flavors in everything was spot on. The artichokes were heaven and the hummus was so so good. The duck was insanely tender over a beautiful bed of butternut squash-brie purée and a apricot orchard chutney. The next day we tried the crème brûlée French toast & Blue Corn Atole. Again, amazing. In the evening we tried the wings and fish & chips. The wings were so so good. She also makes her own hot sauce and it is effing delicious. Then the fish was so tender. The s'mores dessert, oh em geeeee. Spot on! So much beautiful fluffy marshmallow. The Sunday brunch, she serves a lobster Benedict. Wow. I have to say it was the most tender, flavorful Lobster I have ever had. The Hollandaise was amazing on top of the beautiful bread, with avocado and the side salad was delicious nice touch. Beyond thankful for this experience. Will definitely be back soon! She is such an amazing chef! The flavor combinations, the plating, just all around one of the best places I have ever eaten. The hotel itself is also super gorgeous, great staff, beautiful pool, spa & gym. The wedding that they prepared for..... the food came out looking and tasting perfecto! Restaurant, catering, weddings - 100% Highly highlyrecommend.

Lobster Benedict Sunday Brunch is our favorite. The piano playing would do better playing accompanying background music rather than performance pieces and singing which affects table conversations.

Horrible, disrespectful staff except for the male manager and the hostess. We ate there for three mornings. One day the service was fast. The other two days it took over 50 minutes to obtain breakfast. There were very few people eating at the restaurant all three days.On one day we showed up nine minutes early for our reservation and were told we would just have to wait. There were two tables taken at that time.On the last day I was given a dirty teacup with lipstick all over it.They didn't apologize or replace the tea.

We had mother's day brunch with a party of 7. The entire staff worked with us and our requests with issues. The chef also sent out fresh cookies to our table to celebrate the day. GREAT TIME and PRICE!!!!

Great place for Cinco de Maya.Great happy hour

Food was average but it could be because there was a large wedding and they might have had most of their crew working at the scene. Service could have improved. The waitress wasn't very attentive but seemed fake and looked she was ready to go home. I think it was an off night.

I read the reviews and decided to give it a go anyway as it seemed like most of the bad reviews were pandemic related. Was I ever wrong. We arrived and were seated and eventually our orders were taken and we received our drinks. Several tables began being served before us even though they arrived after. The food looked beautiful and delicious... however I cannot confirm. Because after AN HOUR of waiting and absolutely every other table being served no matter if they arrive 30min after us and ordered the same thing - we decided to leave and try our luck elsewhere. One of our waitresses was incredibly rude about the whole thing - we are not picky or rude people and we would have been fine and patient, although a little disappointed to have to wait so long, if the waitstaff had just been apologetic - even if they lied as to the reason. Just throw us a bone ladies! But to wait over an hour for food and then be treated like crap was the last straw. Was it because we were locals? Hugely disappointed. And we were celebrating my mother's 72nd birthday. Skip the possibility of defeat and go to Gutiz instead! BTW, the gentlemen at Valet were so welcoming, kind, and sweet. Grounds are beautiful.
