Offerings are easily generous enough to feed two people, yet so delicious that you'll keep shoveling until you assume a Buddha-like aspect, roll over on the bench and explode. Delightful, speedy service.

Nana and Papa’s! Or as I like to call it Lola and Lolo’sThe handmade green signs were easy to spot from the road and how I found out that there was even a Filipino food place in Taos. Beth and Tom were incredibly kind and friendly. Tom even moved the picnic tables to the shade so we could enjoy our meal away from the glare of the NM sun. People tend to forget that kindness and hospitality can make the food and experience better. Food made with kindness and love always tastes the best. But let’s get to the food part of the review. As a Filipino who travels a lot, I’m always keeping an eye out for Filipino food. I have had a lot Filipino food between AZ and NM. This little delicious cart is at the top of the list. Let me tell you it’s been a long time since I’ve had a home cooked meal, and Nana and Papa’s feels exactly like it.The adobo was close to the deliciousness of my moms cooking. Which any Filipino will tell you, nothing will beat moms cooking. Let me tell you about the Turon. It is my fave Filipino dessert, and I’ve had thousands of it in the Philippines and states, and this pound for pound is arguably the best Turon I’ve had. I’ve had it with plantain and sugar / drizzle filling, ice cream on top, etc., but never a banana / jackfruit combination that N&P’s did. The little whip cup with cinnamon just topped it off. It is a must stop.I will definitely comeback for another Filipino dish and try the Halo Halo too. A true hidden Filipino gem in all of NM.
