Sometimes they don't have all the chicken pieces. They are waiting for them to be done. Doesn't happen often but it happens. Usually very delicious And good food.

The food was so bad we had to throw it away. We couldn’t even eat it, in this day and age who can afford that anymore.. so don’t bother stopping. Then they forgot to give us half of our food. The food was so overcooked you couldn’t even bite into it. It was so dry and overcooked gross..

Chester's Chicken = The best road trip food ever! When I am traveling, which is frequent, I always make sure to stop at a Loves to get some of this yummy traveling food. Chicken from a gas station you may think? Well don't knock it until you've tried it. It's tender, seasoned just right and always fresh. It also doesn't cost an arm and a leg and in my opinion is much less sketchy than snarfing a burger from a truck stop off the freeway. Just sayin.

Wonderful service, the food was tasty.... But who in their right mind would make these great young people work with hardly any air conditioning? Five Stars for workers -2 stars to

I went here because I REALLY wanted some fried chicken. It was busy but most were at Arbys. It was like they were trying to close Chester's down as there were only a few tenders and potato wedges in the bins looking old and haggard. They were starting to deep fry, well, everything anew. I would have had to wait for bone-in chicken (15 minutes) so I settled for a 2 piece tender combo. I got the last 3 potato wedges as they had no other side dishes prepared and 2 tenders. They all were old, rubbery, and cold as they obviously had been sitting there awhile. Worst meal of my cross country trip and I couldn't even finish it. Lo and behold I see the gentleman who waited on me at the counter leaving and getting in his car with 2 boxes of chicken and multiple sides. I bet his weren't the tripe they served me. Come on Chester's! You could have had a WAY better review if you just had some sort of pride in your product and your name.

Worst Godfather's pizza on I40, those kids behind counter no good, can't prepare and don't know what their doing, management probably is bad, they did renovation but same old bad service.

The dude here hates his life and takes it out on the people who just wanna buy some chicken . Oh and this location had the worst dried out chicken . And be warned . A side of wedges means only three wedges so don't pay the extra

First, they didn't have enough dark meat for 2 meals at dinnertime rush. I asked to wait for fresh chicken. I paid for 2 meals, they took my name, and sat down to wait the 25 min for fresh meat. Then they forgot about me. If I hadn't gotten up to check on my food, they would've handed out all the meat because it was already almost gone again. The mashed potatoes are bland, very little gravy. No butter for our bisquits, and no silverware was given. My leg was all breading! The meat was stringy, too. Just yuck! Don't waste your money. I would've asked for a refund, but we're traveling and had got our food to go.

We were traveling back from Az to our home in Tx and stopped to get gas. It was probably 9:45pm or later so didn't expect much in the way of places open for food. The station we stopped in had 3 different little fast food restaurants in one large counter area. We went for the chicken. It was surprisingly fresh, hot and delicious. It has a distinct taste in the breading/seasoning. It was very good, and not greasy. The biscuit was really good (same) also hot, fresh and delicious. The potatoes and gravy were good, but I've had better. I like the flavor and texture of Popeye's and KFC potatoes and gravy better. We asked for all dark meat and they were very accommodating, we like legs and thighs. They asked if we wanted to purchase a hot apple or strawberry cream pie (handheld) for a $1 off (so $.99 cents), also hot, fresh, and delicious. Maybe we hit them at a good time, or got lucky because usually places that are close to closing don't usually have the greatest food anymore. All in all it was a great meal for the two of us and our dog on the road. I was a little hesitant after reading a few of the reviews, but I would definitely go back there when we're traveling, as we don't have any locations in SE Texas where we live.
