This cafe' made me so nostalgic for my younger days. I grew up in a small town and remember the regulars hanging out and chatting, while the employees cook and serve great home cooked food. Such a comfortable, relaxed, and welcoming place!
Usually, my husband and I don't stop at a restaurant when we are driving across the country because we have two little dogs, but I was lucky to see the online ad for Kix on 66, and that they have patio seating. We are so glad we stopped! It couldn't have been a nicer experience. Nostalgic diner, with a Route 66 flare. You can’t go wrong with this small town friendly restaurant. Their staff (Davonna) were very polite, helpful, and welcoming. The menu choices reflected New Mexico style food, including Christmas for red or green sauces.
