This is going to be the strangest review you’ve ever read. I lived in Tucumcari the first 4 years of my life. My father owned & operated Reed’s 5 & 10 store there in the early 50’s and La Cita was the first restaurant I’d ever at. I was a 4 year old Mexican food junkie. Great place on historic route 66! Excellent Mexican food. Welcoming efficient staff. Beautiful art paintings on walls (for sale) as well as Route 66 souvenirs. Nice tamales and quesidillas. See photos. Very reasonable prices...$27 for 2 platter meals.Vegetarian options: You can create a vegetarian meal by removing meat from a salad or doing a bean based item.
