“There are lots of good things to say about Dayan. The place is clean, the owner is super friendly, and the portion sizes are 1/3 larger for the price than we've gotten at any sushi place in Halifax or the Valley. On the down side, we had 5 different rolls between us, all spicy, and unfortunately the sauce was so heavy handed that the only taste differentiation was the fact that some had teriyaki sauce and some didn’t. The rolls were also a bit hard to eat as they fell apart when picked up. Fresh food and good value, but a little more variety in flavour would be appreciated.”

“We ordered at 5:00 and the food was not ready until 5:40... And that's only because I went up to the window and asked for a status check. I think they may have forgotten about us. It was lacking an overabundance of heat and the fries were really teeny. We got two burgers and while the taste of everything was really good, the slow service and bottom of the bag fries were disappointing.”

“Cleanliness is top for me and Apple Valley Pies is amazingly clean. Super happy. Staff are always so friendly and kind and very eager to help. This must be a wonderful place to work because you can just feel it in the air. I'm a repeated shopper and always will be. More than very happy in all aspects. “We just ate here today for lunch while waiting for our trailer to be fixed at Shaw. The place was packed and the hostess definitely gets her 20,000 steps a day. She was very nice and the food was great. I had fish cakes with the house salad and loved it. I cleaned my plate. My partner had the ginger peanut pasta and said it was good too. He said "I'd eat there again" which is big from him lol. His only complaint was he hoped for crunchy peanuts on the pasta. The sauce was yummy. Thank you!”

“We wanted a quick lunch that wasn't fast food! We has been out running errands all day and were starting to get hangry when we spotted the MAD sign. It smelled amazing as soon as we opened the door! Service was quick and friendly. My daughter and I each grabbed a chicken salad sandwich and a drink, some baked items and a Nanaimo Square. Everything was fresh, delicious and priced well. We will be back!”

Yes sometimes there is a bit of a wait time but that's what happens when everyone wants to eat from the best pizza place around. Always worth the wait though.”

“No fuss just straight up delicious food. This was our first meal when we moved to Kentville just over 3 months ago. We got the meat pizza and the Donair pizza. Both were really good. My gf has never had Donair pizza before and she really liked it with the sauce. For me the meat pizza was really good. Cooked to perfection.Also had the fish n chips and they are really good. Yummy fish and thick cut fries!So glad this place is a block away from us to help with the cravings!”

“Wheatons Cider Press Cafe is a well established and beloved cafe in the Annapolis Valley. Located in Berwick, Nova Scotia, just off the highway and the perfect place to stop for travelers looking for a home cooked lunch and yummy baked goods. The food is really thoughtfully prepared, and the menu has a great selection of sandwhiches, breads, soups, pies, and salads. The curried carrot soup, the tuna melt, and the chicken pot pie are my favorite and usually the favorite of those I dine with. Thankfully, they remain on their evolving menu. Definitely leave room for dessert because they offer one of the most extensive dessert menus around. This is especially great if you just want coffee, tea, and a dessert. You will feel like you are in Grandma's kitchen! Our server was truly exceptional! He had his hands full with us and handled it so well. He was charming, friendly, well-mannered, thoughtful, funny, and did a great job serving us! I think my favorite part of dining here is the chance to purchase backed goods or a meal and take it home or shop in the exquisite retail shop just outside the cafe.
