“The Port is the perfect place for a great bite, amazing service and peaceful views of the water. I came with a group, and we all enjoyed our drinks, appetizer (shared pretzel bites), and entrees. I had the local fish cakes, which were crispy and flavourful. I really liked the apple pie dessert! Our waiter was so nice and always checked in.”

“What an awesome day for a drive for the First Monday in April 2023. Sunshine, the the forest bones of winter shaking off the cold. Trip from Halifax to New Minas to Big Mike Pizza. Definitely worth the drive. Definitely our favourite pizza.”

“There are lots of good things to say about Dayan. The place is clean, the owner is super friendly, and the portion sizes are 1/3 larger for the price than we've gotten at any sushi place in Halifax or the Valley. On the down side, we had 5 different rolls between us, all spicy, and unfortunately the sauce was so heavy handed that the only taste differentiation was the fact that some had teriyaki sauce and some didn’t. The rolls were also a bit hard to eat as they fell apart when picked up. Fresh food and good value, but a little more variety in flavour would be appreciated.”

“I went to the Naked Crepe with my girlfriends today. It was my first experience having a crepe. I chose the donair crepe. It was huge, so filling with delicious locally made donair meat. I also had their homemade soup which was heart and tasty as well. My friends had dessert crepes and all raved about their individual flavours. Our server was delightful and we were quickly waited on and served. 10/10 will definitely be back. 😊”

“used to love the dairy free ice cream, but unfortunately since the original owners have sold the business it's just not the same. the ice cream is completely different and doesn't taste the same, and the gluten free waffle cones are always stale. unfortunately I would not recommend this place anymore.”

“I usually get a coffee with cream which has always been delicious coffee but today got a vanilla iced coffee and it seriously tasted like something you’d order in Hawaii! Glad to have a something comparable until I can go back to the islands! We love the coffeehouse!!!”

“Had the best Reuban sandwich there yesterday. The only thing better than the sandwich was our server, Dawn -a delight! We were pampered and pleased to learn a little of her Acadian roots. She's a certified sommelier and we learned that the chef is a graduate of the grand culinary school de Paris - Le Cordon Bleu. One bite confirms his expertise!
Before we left, we visited one of their guest rooms- a sight to behold. An overnight stay would certainly be divine. C'est certain.

“Amazing staff! Great service”

“We visited Luckett Vineyards in Nova Scotia on a Friday in early November, about an hour before closing. We were the only customers the entire time, which made for a wonderfully quiet and relaxing experience. The vineyard itself is absolutely stunning and the setting is peaceful.
We tried the Tidal Bay white wine along with a charcuterie board. The wine was fantastic — crisp, refreshing, and perfectly balanced. The charcuterie was very good as well, and we felt it offered great value for what we got.
I’ll definitely be returning in the warmer months to enjoy more of the outdoor scenery. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a beautiful, relaxing vineyard experience!”

“Wow! We stopped in for supper and were really impressed. Upon server recommendation, I ordered the Breakfast Poutine. Not something I’d normally choose… but it was incredible! It was the perfect blend of golden home fries, crispy bacon pieces, gooey cheese curds, and perfectly-cooked eggs, all topped with delicious hollandaise sauce. I have a new fav menu item!! Our server, Nora, was immediately welcoming. She greeted us warmly and made our visit cozy and enjoyable. Amazing food, atmosphere, and excellent customer service from Nora. Really impressed with this location and this visit.”
