Pop Culture Brew Co. Kombucha Brewery •
50 Mt Hope Ave Unit A, Dartmouth

“I have always been a fan of kombucha. But Pop Culture flavours are so good. I got a variety pack to see which ones I want to buy in growlers and I can’t even decide. I knew the spicy ginger lemon was going to be a fave(and I was right) I was pleasantly surprised by the nettle mint. I did try a small bit of blueberry(it fell out of my fridge so whatever didn’t end up on the floor I drank)The clarity of the kombucha was spectacular. I can’t believe it’s been so close to home and I hadn’t tried it.If you love kombucha, and even if you haven’t tried it, theirs is a great choice. You won’t be disappointed.“

Moosehead Cold Beer Store Brewery • $$
656 Windmill Rd, Dartmouth

“Heaven!!!I was first introduced to Moosehead in a little bar in Woodstock, IL of all places.I live in Seattle now and it’s impossible to find Moosehead in the iconic green bottles. The taste of Moosehead and the skunky notes produced from the green bottle’s, makes for an amazing beer.Moosehead has been my favorite beer for the last 18 years.Discovering a Moosehead store while working in Nova Scotia was amazing!I was truly geeking out!The staff was super friendly and their section was amazing !I cannot weight to go back!!!“

Nine Locks Brewery, Taproom & Retail Store Brewery • $
221 Waverley Rd, Dartmouth

“If you haven't been introduced to their beers, this is would be the ideal place to do so.Tap room, beer and merch store - drop by for a reasonably priced glass of something and leave with 24 of it under your arm. There's a few tables around, so bring your date for a quiet convo where "Frig Off" gets a round of a hoppy IPA, and not just a response to someone shoving their foot in their mouth. Will not satisfy all tastes. But you can still get emergency water rations for less than $2 a can at the NSLC.“

New Scotland Brewing Co. Brewery • $$
16 Portland St Unit 101, Dartmouth

“The food was good, but the flavours were pretty basic. The fish cakes, while tasty, didn't have a lot of flavour to them and weren't worth $22. The smash burger and fries were also pretty typical and basic, and not really worth the money“

Tusket Falls Beer Project Brewery • $$
2220 Gottingen St, Halifax - 6.01 miles

“Charming hipster like restaurant. The food selection was great, with plenty of options for anyone. The atmosphere was also very cozy in a smallish venue. Our waiter was also very good. The only con really was a few of the guests felt there was a bit of a lack of drink options, who aren't interested in custom local breweries. I would be interested in going back again.“

Off Track Brewing Ltd. Brewery • $$
275 Rocky Lake Dr Unit #3, Bedford - 0.63 miles

“Fantastic. Superb beers and flights, brewed right there, at great prices. Good music on the PA system. A warehouse kinda feel to the place. They don't serve food but they sell bags of chips (like British pubs!) The pics were taken as it was closing so don't be put off by the lack of people!“

Propeller Brewing Company - Bedford Tap Room, Cold Beer Store & Drive-Thru Brewery •
1225 Bedford Hwy, Bedford - 1.12 miles

“I came to Propeller Brewing on Bedford Highway for the Christmas Parade this year with a couple friends and the place was so lively with Asado BBQ set up outside with amazing food!! Inside was live music with Lloyd Banfield who played really great Kitchen Party tunes from all over the province and Newfoundland. The place was packed, the drinks and good food were flowing and everyone had a smile on their face. The staff were attentive and efficient and also seemed like they were having a great time! I would highly recommend this place as your local watering hole or a place to stop for great beer and conversation!“

“Great range of beers including collabs, sours etc plus Nova Scotia wines too. Emily was a superb host, good knowledge of their products. We were visiting for a day on a cruise and definitely worth the walk from the port, if you make it to the citadel you’re as good as there anyway.“

Propeller Brewing Company — Gottingen Tap Room and Cold Beer Store Brewery • $$
2015 Gottingen St, Halifax - 6.27 miles

“Best brewery in Nova Scotia. My cousin and I are a bit of beer snobs and have been to countless places throughout Canada between the two of us. We both agree these guys know beer, they don't mess around. When they make a beer they make it right, and seem to always be coming up with something different. When you have tried as many beers as we have it can be a challenge to find something refreshing and new, something that's not just good but is exciting. Something that makes you go wow I've not had something like this before, and you do just that.My only feedback would be to dabble in sours a bit more, I never seem to find much if any in the class from you folks. Still not a problem I'd just be interested in your take on one.Cheers and keep up the amazing work!“

Ol' Biddy's Brew House Brewery •
111 Cobequid Rd, Lower Sackville - 2.04 miles

“I initially wrote the review below, but after the company has investigated and agree they should have a return policy, I believe this company does put the customer’s first. I will be returning to the brewery this week and highly recommend this company. I will continue to support them going forward. Great product s. They do value their customers!!I was a big supporter of this place and I have looked forward to trying every new product in the past. 3 days ago I went in and bought 4 packs of tall boys and this included the new greatroads brewing creamsicle seltzer, which is terrible by the way. To be honest I don’t know who decided it tasted like creamsicle as it tastes like you are drinking orange cleaner. Yesterday I brought the three unopened cans of the creamsicle seltzer back to the brewery and asked if I could exchange them for something else as they were horrible. First of all, no one seem to know the return policy, so after they all chatted back-and-forth, they decided that it left the building so it can’t come back into the building so I am out the money. This is not a huge deal. However, if I was them, I would’ve been considering that hopefully there’s nothing wrong with the product if it taste that horrible. The other issue here is you want to keep your customers happy so if you have to eat $15 on three cans and give them something new that’s what you do. I did enjoy all their other products so sadly I will not be going back there as they do not stand behind what they brew and customer satisfaction is not top priority.“
