“The Canteen had a cozy atmosphere. The menu had lots of delicious options. I was hoping to try their lobster roll but it was a seasonal dish. I had the haddock sandwich and soup. The sandwich was good but the soup was delicious. Service was great.”

“I was in Nova Scotia on vacation, and this was on my short list of places to visit. When we came in, we got a flight of ciders, and when we couldn't decide on the final Cider for the flight, we were recommended one that turned out to be our favourite that night (raspberry)! Now I'm back home and taking full advantage of the free Canada-wide shipping for orders over $80. This is pretty much the only Cider I drink now, my other favourites are vanilla, snakebite, and gingerbread. Crisp apple is also a good basic Cider as well! I give these to friends for birthdays, weddings, and Christmas gifts. I can't get enough of it and I would love to have it on tap again because that was the best!”

“Have dined here at least six times over the last two years. After being given a gift certificate from a colleague for a Christmas I enjoyed it so much that I asked my family to have my next birthday supper there and have been a few times since (with others even requesting we go their now for their celebrations which speaks volumes about how good the place is overall).It is a cozy restaurant (be sure to make reservations if going at peak times as I'm sure they fill up quickly) but there is enough space between tables and booths that it does not feel crowded. They set the atmosphere very well with dim lighting, candles and music played at a volume that is nice but not so loud that it is distracting or hinders conversation. The whole decor seems to match with a theme that comes office classy/intimate  but still accessible (would be a good place to go on a date I imagine).The staff are always appropriately pleasant, attentive and accommodating (my family are the kind that always as for things like extra napkins, condiments and other small but multiple requests that I am sure staff eventually find insufferable but never let it show). The time between being seated, ordering and receiving ones meal has been very reasonable everytime. Same sentiment when it come ordering take out as well.The food presents at appropriate temperatures, seems to be made with fresh ingredients and is Always delicious. Portion sizes are pretty average (usually can't eat it all so do take away some leftovers). My family has never sent anything back while coming there and that is a rarity. Also have been told their gluten free options are quite good.Have usually started of with either calamari or wonton soup which have always been nice. The ginger beef is so good that I have had it a couple of times now. The prices are reasonable and you are getting quality for what you pay.Will continue to keep it in mind whenever a suggestion for a place to dine is  brought up.”

“Today I stopped at this new restaurant as I was looking forward to hopefully enjoy something different for lunch. They truly exceeded my expectations. The atmosphere is quaint, the people are so friendly (even met Mom), the price point very reasonable, the menu although small (which is very smart since they are brand new) had options that I cannot get anywhere else and it tasted absolutely amazing. I definitely will be returning regularly. Ohhh and all I could do was talk about my lunch all afternoon. This place will no doubt be a success.”

Also want to try the Porchetta sandwich so next Friday it’s marked on the calendar!”

“I tried this for the first time this week visiting from Ontario. Id like to make a point about the owner and staff who were very friendly and welcoming and excited for me to try their product. My honest review of this pizza, the sauce has an excellent taste, crust is nice and thin and crunchy where it counts, not overdone and baked in an old school oven which I love. One thing I will make note on is the cheese, I think it's just the brand that's being used is on the cheaper side and makes it a little rubber-like. Though I understand in these tough times for businesses and just about everyone that you have to save where you can. Does it ruin the pizza? no. Would it make it that much better with something more quality absolutely. I will definitely be going back for more in the future. Great spot, and great prices, you can't go wrong.”

All these bad reviews saying the hours of operation are wrong is because they had a death in the family and were closed for over 3 months. Please don't judge this gem of a pizza place based off those reviews! They have updated their hours and you can find that on their website. I've been going to Hungry Hut for over 15 years and you wont find many places as passionate as them! I've tried nearly every item on their menu and they do everything good. But I highly recommend their Donairs!”

We gave it a try today and had an amazing brunch, Saiid went above and beyond for us. Being a single mom going out to eat with two small kids isn’t an easy task but Saiid made sure we felt welcome and comfortable moving an extra round table closer to us so my kids could continue to Color while they ate. “Absolutely hands down one of the best, if not the best Starbucks I have ever been to from all over the world. The staff are kind and conscientious and funny. They truly love their jobs and it shows through the little jokes and cute little offerings that they're constantly making efforts with one of the baristas. Kevin is absolutely the best in the business, kind and sweet and always good at what he's doing. The drinks are always made better than anywhere else perfect on the orders, no matter how complicated, always able to take detailed instructions very well with a giant smile. My mornings are always made better by them. There's another female employee who works there who has the biggest smile and the kindest heart and I will remember her name. If ever you need a quick pick me up, don't go to the Tim Hortons across the street. Take the time to go to this Starbucks”

“Stopped into this Cafe for the first time when i discovered my other favourite local cafe closed down :(I went with a bacon breakfast sandwich and let me tell you.. i am usually a pick eater and it comes with things i would usually leave aside. however i decided to try it as it was intended and i do NOT regret it. One of the best I’ve had here in dartmouth.I also got an iced latte, again, not my usual but it was delicious and creamy.The atmosphere is super welcoming and pleasant all the staff were smiling and it seemed they had a good flow going for how busy they were while I was there ! However, a bit small, it would be awesome if they had the space to expand !I also noticed they had a “Put it on a tab” for those who may not be able to afford a meal. “Today my husband got our car stuck coming onto Prince Albert Road when he was on his way home from Physio. Many people drove by him not stopping. Suddenly a man with a truck stopped and helped him get our car out. All the man asked is that he leave a nice comment to his pizza shop, Leo’s Pizza. My husband and I never heard of Leo’s and had to google it to see where it was and luckily it was close by. We both agreed that we definitely wanted to give Leo’s our business so we went right over there to order some pizzas for lunch. He was at the shop when we arrived and got to thank him again. We didn’t get his name but if you’re out there; thank you again for stopping to help my husband. As for the pizza; it was absolutely delicious and we can’t wait to have our 9 year old Autistic son try it when he gets home as pizza is his most favourite thing. “I have been here twice once in bedford which was the best experience. lovely service. went to sackville location and it was aweful. we ate in and it was given to us in a box with two plastic forks. the lady also said we close in 20min. she then walked away. we ate our cheesecake the lady was out back the whole time. we got up and she still did not come out. the cheesecake also still had the pieces of paper on either side of it. she just flopped into a box. I can't imagine the owner would be impressed as she served myself and my friend in bedford with class and professionalism. hopefully she sees how her staff are here in sackville.”

The tempura is hot and tasty, servings are large, fish is fresh and the prices are reasonable. The owner and his staff are so friendly and really put in an effort to take care of their customers. “Stopped into this Cafe for the first time when i discovered my other favourite local cafe closed down :(I went with a bacon breakfast sandwich and let me tell you.. i am usually a pick eater and it comes with things i would usually leave aside. however i decided to try it as it was intended and i do NOT regret it. One of the best I’ve had here in dartmouth.I also got an iced latte, again, not my usual but it was delicious and creamy.The atmosphere is super welcoming and pleasant all the staff were smiling and it seemed they had a good flow going for how busy they were while I was there ! However, a bit small, it would be awesome if they had the space to expand !I also noticed they had a “Put it on a tab” for those who may not be able to afford a meal. A+ to you guys ! will definitely be back in the future !”
