“We were celebrating our anniversary and looking for a special place. Everyone said go to the Bicycle Thief. We were not disappointed. The food and wine were superb. We loved the lobster risotto. Katie, our server, was amazing. We can’t wait to return. Thank you for a fantastic dinner.”

“We had excellent service on Canada Day 2024 with our friendly waitress Pal. She was very helpful and kept checking on our party of 12 ages from 3 to 80, to make sure everyone had what they wanted. She put treats on the Robot and had the children go get their treats off the tray on it, which was a highlight for them. We could tell she enjoys waitressing because she does it to perfection. The food was delicious and plated appetizingly, too!”

“Terry’s Calamari is THE BEST because he has the best idea to cover it in an amazing tomato sauce and olives that elevates it to a whole new level. 3 of us shared it, gone in minutes.

For mains we had Spaghetti Bolognese and Tagliatelle Cacio e Pepe. Perfect portion, thoughtful details with garnish, and incredible sauce (and those lemon kissed scallops... amazing). Spiced chocolate crème brulee and Tiramisu rounded out the evening. Great evening supper on the patio. Excellent service. What a gem in the city 💎”

Consistent and proper proportions on the burgers, fries are usually always hot off the fryer fresh and never stale. Hopefully this location can keep this night crrw together, a reliable place right now from my experience.”

This McDonalds is typically very clean, with plenty of parking. Location isn't ideal for walking, but great when you're driving around the area.”

“I visit this place every now and then, and it’s one of the cleanest McDonald’s I’ve ever been to. The cafe is spacious, with many tables and seats to choose from, and you can also sit outside. My sister Daria and like the fact that there’s a strong glass between me and the road, making me feel safer and more comfortable while eating.

I always order from the pad, and my orders have always been correct. The best food here is probably the French fries and caramel ice cream.”

“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ !! The Prospect Road location is going to be such a well loved location - so much so that, I don’t think the staff realized how much of the community would flock there. They’re BUSY, and out of ingredients, but the staff there were HUSTLING around, smiling and getting orders out that they could. I expect delays at the beginning. They never expected so much traffic, give them patience folks and expect a mess up in your order possibly or wait until they are fully loaded and in the flow with the area. Otherwise incredible sub (despite picking off a couple things I didn’t ask for), the bread was amazing, still 10/10 would go back, and didn’t even care it was chaotic. Inside though although small, its essentially a novelty convenience store with local goodies. They have a little bakery section with homemade stuff, the moon mist fudge was incredible and a must try! They also had a bunch of “Jones Soda” flavours that I’ve never seen before anywhere around here - even at the big candy stores, (like s’mores and the fallout edition one) which was pretty cool!! They still have ice cream and everything that was at multi scoop - just with a lot more options and delicious fresh options to go. Something for ANYONE at a really reasonable price. Prospect needed this so much - thank you, and good luck with your continued success! 🎉♥️”

I tried a salmon dish and didn’t expect it to have a skin on. Salmon skin, I think, is always fishy and the fishy aftertaste lasts long.

They always offer free candies before you leave. They have them on the counter as well but being offered is a nice gesture.

You’ll always feel welcome and well received here. Totally opposite from the other Japanese restaurant in the area.”

The hodge-podge was decent, though I thought the fish cake was underwhelming and the included brown bread didn’t match too well with the dill cream sauce. Service was pretty good except it took much longer than expected to get the bill. Once the patio space filled up, I think the lone server could’ve used some back up (maybe another team member to help).

The space is beautiful regardless if you sit inside or outside, no complaints there.”

The staff were absolutely incredible. The host, the server, the bartender were all so great and made our dinning experience unforgettable. The food though, was definitely where the term “chef’s kiss” must have originated from. It was quite evident, that the chef takes pride in all of the dishes. “Went for lunch today and had the Pho and the "Banh Mi" (meat bread). The good: The broth of the Pho is easily the best in HRM, great flavour and mouth feel and you can actually see some liquid fat floating there. The noodle were well cooked and the portion of beef was good. The baguette of the banh mi was excellent as was the meat. The not so good: The choice of meat for the Pho was very basic. There are many of us out there that would like very rare beef, beef ball, tendon and even tripe. I've never seen this option offered in Halifax and would be very impressed if I did. The Pho also needs more accompaniments, I got a small segment of lime, an ample supply of mung bean sprout and one piece of cilantro. I want to see Thai Basil and bird eye chili, and more cilantro and lime. The "Banh Mi" has one option for filling and while it is very good, I would like to see a variety of options. Cold cuts, pates, pork belly slices, satay beef should be a standard variety of options. I'd also like to see it offered as a banh mi sandwich with kewpie, pickled daikon/carrot, cucumber, cilantro and chili's. The Verdict: I will be back. The Pho and meat bread, while basic are very well done. I would be back even more frequently if some of my suggestions about were added. There is a real need for solid Pho and Banh Mi on the peninsula and Red Satay is the closest yet and it wouldn't take much to elevate it to a weekly must go.”

By accident they gave me a chocolate pie. Drove all the way back to make the exchange. I was really craving coconut cream pie. Got home AGAIN Opened the box. Took a bite. It’s more than half whip cream. Fake not real and I could not taste any coconut. At all. Except the sprinkle of roasted coconut on the top. Not good at all.. Tossed it out! Not worth the calories. The absolute best coconut cream pie that I have had at a restaurant not a bakery is from The Armview! Homemade and absolutely delish. And worthy of the calories . Sorry guys. “Food was pretty good for the most part. We particularly enjoyed the brown bread and pork belly and scallops. The hodge-podge was decent, though I thought the fish cake was underwhelming and the included brown bread didn’t match too well with the dill cream sauce. Note that the hodge podge is also quite rich and heavy due to the cream based sauce.

Service was pretty good except it took much longer than expected to get the bill. Once the patio space filled up, I think the lone server could’ve used some back up (maybe another team member to help).

The space is beautiful regardless if you sit inside or outside, no complaints there.”

The chole was rich, well-spiced, and perfectly balanced—not overly oily, which is often the case elsewhere. The bhature came out hot and fluffy, with just the right amount of crisp on the outside and softness inside. It’s the kind of comfort food that makes you feel right at home. “If you would like an amazing culinary experience then you should definitely try the Barrington Steakhouse! From the moment we walked in, we were treated like royalty. The staff were absolutely incredible. The host, the server, the bartender were all so great and made our dinning experience unforgettable. The food though, was definitely where the term “chef’s kiss” must have originated from. It was quite evident, that the chef takes pride in all of the dishes. The Beef Wellington well exceeded my expectations. Definitely 5 star rating!”

“Three guests in our party. Ate lunch there enjoying the Broccoli and Cheese Quiches with coffees and a hot chocolate. Quiches were very light, flavourful and incredibly filling. As we were celebrating a birthday, a dessert was selected by each of us: a chocolate cheesecake square, a peanut butter square with chocolate layer on top and an apple dessert as big as your head made with puff pastry and sweet apple filling. Verdict? Delicious!”

I am a tourist from Europe and I found Cafe Byron by accident, but it was really a lucky find!

The coffee was very tasty and the avocado toast also fresh and delicious. The place is small but very cozy, and the people working there was very friendly.

I enjoyed to sit there and relax a bit. I can really recommend this cafe to other travelers!”

“I really enjoy this place. The staff is always great, pizza is good, and great choices of beers on tap. Beware of the kitchen closing times, dont trust Google (twice I went there and the kitchen was closed, once quite early). Sometimes they don't have all flavors available-It's not a huge deal, but for some people It could be frustrating. I also always find a bit too hot in there, but It wont prevent me to go back there often. Glad they are in the North End. Update: I am updating my review from 4 to 5 because they are always awesome and seem to have fixed the temperature thing and availability. 10/10”
