“This is the best ramen shop in the province! We’ve been to every one we can find, and these guys take the cake! We drive all the way over from Eastern Passage, more often then I’d like to admit, just to get a bowl! We’ve been doing this since 2016 :) Try the Hokkaido ramen! Extra spicy if you can handle it ;)“
“This place wasn't my first choice, but I'm some glad my other options didn't pan out. I tried calling other establishments in the area, and I was either met with silence or a rude person answering the phone. This place? The customer service was sweet right off the bat. My hotel is only a short walking distance, so my spouse and I ventured over for a late supper/date night. When we entered the establishment, our server greeted us warmly and brought us over to our table immediately. I managed to get my coat off and be seated before water was brought out along with menus. As I've said previously, the service was impeccable and sweet. We chose our appetizers, main course, and drinks. We did not wait long before food was brought out. We ordered ebi fry and karaage for our apps. My main course was the tantanmen ramen, and my spouse chose the tonkotsu. We each ordered a beer to go with our dishes.I absolutely loved and devoured my dish. The appetizers were perfect, and my food was delicious. Our sweet server checked in with us routinely to see how we were doing, and I appreciated that a lot. I must admit, we probably looked a bit silly trying to eat with chopsticks (since it was mostly our first time), but no one batted an eye. It was a struggle for me, but I was determined to learn quickly, and I ate my whole meal just fine. The broth was spicy (but not too spicy for me), the pork was delicious, and I loved the veggies. The tastes blended quite well together. The varying textures and tastes made it comfortable and delightful for my sensitive palate. The atmosphere was cozy for the two of us, and there was plenty of room for solos, duos, or groups to enjoy eating there. I loved the setup of the room and the music they played quietly in the background. The lighting made it a nice, cozy atmosphere for the two of us to enjoy our sweet date. This spot will definitely be a must for us to return to when we come back and visit. From the service to the food, you can't go wrong. If you love ramen, you'll love this place. I'm so happy we went here on a whim tonight.“
“Our favorite spot in Halifax. Amazing quality for the price, and the portions are always huge. It is so good every single time, you need to try it. The crispy fried chicken is the best, I recommend the appetizer plate of it vs the noodle bowl. The crispiness is just spot on and it comes with pickles on the side. The spicy tan tan ramen is my absolute favourite and I never stray.“
“Best ramen in town. My wife and I order from here frequently. The staff are super friendly. The service is fast, take out orders are usually ready in 10 minutes. Dining in is also nice. I'll order takeout in person and pop over to Pete's to get produce. When finished my order is waiting for me. It is excellent quality ramen, very very tasty.Vegetarian options: My wife loves their vegetarian ramen. Kind of an umami broth with mild hoisin flavor accompanied with different veggies and some sliced cooked squash (squash is easily removed if you are not into squash)“
“I have only gotten takeout so far but even that was way beyond my expectations. I am addicted to the pork and cabbage pan fried dumplings and the juicy pork dumplings. Reminds me of the ones I had in Toronto that I’ve been dreaming of. Finally there is a place close to home I can get my fix. The staff are super friendly and make it such a cute little place to grab a bite. Highly recommend coming here! Sorry for the lack of photos, I keep eating them all before I remember to take a few photos.“
“I ordered the Chicken Karaage Ramen, Wings, and Takoyaki from this culinary gem. Each bite was a journey of taste, with the crispy and succulent chicken karaage dancing harmoniously in the rich ramen broth. The wings soared to perfection, boasting a delectable balance of spices and tenderness. The takoyaki, a delightfully crispy exterior giving way to a tender center, was an indulgent treat. Undoubtedly, the ramen reigns supreme – a masterpiece of taste and texture, earning its place as one of Halifax's best.“
