I was there tonight to get a slice of pizza and then I saw the employees fighting with a group of guys in a very bad way abusing the customers. When I checked in with those guys they told me the store charged them tip without consent and when they asked why did u put a $5 tip on a 2 slice order without asking the employees started raising their voice. The employees were very rude and even went out on street to have a verbal fight with those guys

Tony's is a mandatory pilgrimage for anyone visiting Halifax. The donair is award winning for a reason. This place is always busy but you won't wait long because they're really well staffed. Prices are great and the food is even better.

Tonys is a go to when In halifax but it seems you need to either be extremely specific or half build the experience yourself. Ordered a donair pizza was okay, burger onion rings and fries they put the garlic sauce for the burger in a dish for some reason.. no ketchup or utensils for the poutine and onion rings. Was told would be 25 mins to get those things if needed.. they knew we were at a hotel where we don't have those items so paid for a poutine we couldn't eat and onion rings the kids wouldn't touch dry without ketchup to dip.. and tipped the driver not knowing we wouldn't get to eat half the food. An hour later while in bed someone maybe hotel staff brought an enormous amount of ketchup only. Last time I ordered at the hospital was not provided utensils as well or donair sauce. The owner seemed apologetic .. this time.. but a good resolve would have been to offer to resend fresh onion rings and poutine with proper utensils and ketchup.

This place deserved an honourary perma-five star review. It’s such an institution that the quality should not be monitored by mere google reviews, but by the government of Halifax itself.My brain is telling me that I wanted a few more veggies but my soul is telling me to trust the masters.

All I've got to say is "Wow!". The pizza sauce is to die for! Donair sauce is the perfect sweetness! And the service is phenomenal! I will definitely go back, I likely won't go anywhere else!

Came all the way from Toronto for this. Donair meat was phenomenal and the pita was great. Would of liked a bit more tomatos and onions and the sauce was a little thin. Great experience overall.
