“Oysters are quite good, but the lemons are too limited for one dozen of oysters, and the shape of lemon is a little hard to squeeze. Scallops are amazing!Highly recommend this dish! The mix of crispy sesames, cilantro and soft sweet scallops is one of the best match I’ve ever tasted in my life!Tuna and fries is a good dish to share. The fries are not so oily and the tuna is fresh.Duck breasts are so juicy! I’ve never had such good tasting duck in Canada before.Pasta fiori is a little too sour for me.We ordered three cocktails and both of them are wonderful! Especially the one with sage!“

“Gonna start by saying we came on a trivia night. Probably a different vibe other nights. It also seemed like there was only 2 staff, which was a lot for how busy it seemed. The selection of drinks is great. From beer, cocktails and non alcoholic drinks. They have something you can drink. No sour beers at this time, but that could be a rotational thing. My only call out is I felt our table got secondary service over the regulars. At different points it seemed like we were a bother. If I lived/worked nearby though, I think this would be my favorite local spot. As it was it felt like we were intruding.Parking: Lots of spots.Wheelchair accessibility: Yes, from one side. Stairs on the other.“

“I have been coming to the Press Gang for 20 years and while the owners have changed, the stunning atmosphere, delicious food and fun service have not. So great to see. The play list however an insufferable list of AM hits from the 70/80's. Doesn't make me want to hang around the bar and have another cocktail.“

“We stop in on every weekend morning for a post ride coffee and hot chocolate. The service is always fast, cordial and expertly delivered. Without a doubt the West End Hot chocolate prepared by Matti is the best in the city. The atmosphere is lovely with all ages represented. There is always a “buzz” in the air with children, dogs and old friends mingling freely. The wait staff plays a significant role in creating and maintaining this laid back and welcoming vibe. Love this place!“

“We had an awesome lip smacking dinner today. Authentic desi Chinese main course and great tandoori for appetizers. The masala fries was a sweet surprise which is a first time for us in halifax restaurant menu. Hope you keep serving great food like this thanks“

“Had to sample the Harvest Pumpkin Ale from Nine Locks and so dropped into their brew pub on Spring Garden just under My Fathers Moustache. They serve it with a lovely little rim of cane sugar and cinnamon and what a treat it was! To top it off we decided to have the two shrimp tacos as a little filler. I can’t rave about them enough! The chef at My Father’s Moustache makes the food for this brew pub and those tacos were just delicious. I don’t think I’ve had better shrimp in a long time. All around a 10 out of 10. Wait staff were all very nice and we picked up a few beer to take home. I’m anxious to try out the Blackberry Blonde.“

“A family member rented the venue for his wife's birthday. There was an open bar, and finger foods were served. The staff was excellent, and they served a nice assortment of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Small venue with a very cozy atmosphere.“

“Liked the clean ambiance at first glance. Food was tasty and quantity was good. Stuffs were courteous but not very chatty. Although I wish they had more Vietnamese beverages. The only one available is ice coffee. It is nice and looks very traditional. Skip the hot sauce if you are not used to the spices. It was a nice find, very conveniently located. Will come back to try other dishes.“

“Food was fantastic with very large portions! Drinks were beyond fantastic and my new found bro Ahmed is the best bartender I have ever had! He gave me his signature version of the Old Fashioned and it was exquisite!!! Ahmed gets a 100 percent rating!!“
“Charlie's is wild. Whenever I have friends in from out of town, we go straight here. Two pool tables in okay shape, and one of those juke boxes you play with your phone. Karaoke on Monday is really fun, and ruled with an iron fist by weirdos (the good kind). I'm a regular there, so it's a warm place for me, but if you don't work on being part of the community there, it can be a bit of an uphill battle. Very LGBT+ friendly, maybe the closest thing to a queer bar in Halifax unfortunately. Bigots keep out.“

“Let’s be honest. Plenty of Indian restos in Halifax are sub-par. I am very impressed by the food here and the menu selection. Great classics and some interesting dishes too. The combination of spices was absolutely on point and nothing was too oily. Lamb curry super tender and excellently flavoured. Don’t miss happy hour from 4-6!“

“I really appreciate the vibes of this place. The decor and atmosphere sticks to its theme well, seemingly without overdoing it. Wings were the largest, tastiest and cheapest I've had since pre-pandemic. Will be returning when back in town. :)“

“We celebrated my birthday with an AMAZING meal, a beautiful view if the halifax harbour, thoughtful and efficient service and gracious hosts at the Cable Wharf restaurant. I had the sharable hot seafood platter. It surpassed all my expectations! Atlantic Lobster was cooked to perfection, digby scallops were tender and packed with flavour, gigantic succulent tiger shrimp, blackened haddock was fantastic, atlantic salmon was sweet and delicious too. My first experience with seared Ahi Tuna and it did not disappoint!! I highly recommend this dish to anyone who wants a seafood extravaganza that represents atlantic Canadian flavours and hospitality that is truly representative of the maritime provinces!!“
“Great staff. Good food and the band they had playing was the best band I have ever watched. The singer was amazing. I think the name was four way stop. I stopped in for a quick meal and beer, but after hearing the music, I stayed the entire night.“

“Awesome place, our server Erin was great. Going to a seafood place with seafood and nut allergies is always risky, but they took care and didn't have to worry. I ordered the pork chop and it was awesome, my wife had the seafood platter with a bunch of different seafood tasting. Would return for sure!Dietary restrictions: They were very careful to make sure everything was good with my seafood and nut allergies.“
“I was meeting my cousin for the first time in many years and he selected this British Pub. Food was excellent, with one of the best chowders I have had for a long time. All the typical pub fare you would expect including a range of pies, curry and a very good special - Lamb Shank. Good beer menu and a decent bar/games room downstairs.“

“Classy with a cool vibe and delicious house ales. They have the full spectrum on tap which includes other craft brews and their own Stillwell named ones (they are damn good). Very friendly bartender is the cherry on top. Did not have food so no rating for that.“

“Great place to get an ice cream with kids while filling your 5gal / 19L water jugs. Extremely friendly staff and great prices for the generous amount of ice cream. They also offer coffee and some quick, apparently homemade sandwiches. Higley recommended.“
