The meals were filling and fresh. The staff was friendly and efficient!!! OUr family all enjoyed our meals here, and there is lots of seating for bigger groups, which was nice.

Had dinner on a Monday. Ordered the Chateau Nova Burger with a poutine. The burger was very greasy and was made with 2 store bought frozen patties. I would've preferred one homemade... As for the poutine, it's gravy was weird with a strange flavour I can't put my finger on. The texture was slightly off too. Quite disappointing for a restaurant with a chic atmosphere.

I don’t usually post reviews on restaurant unless they are exceptionally good or exceptionally bad and this one is exceptionally BAD. Food was just frozen food that was heated up, french onion soup was disgusting I do not recommend and the “The Chateau Nova Burger” is just frozen patties and some bacon. Not good at all considering the prices.Do not recommend you can eat at way better places in Yellowknife for the same price.

Convenient location for hotel guests. Good service. Food is okay. Dinner has pretty good selections. Breakfast buffet is about what you’d expect for a 3-star hotel.

Went for lunch - had the steak sandwich special. Took an hour and a half to get the food!!! - steak was cooked well on one portion and undercooked on the other. I will not be returning.

Located within the Nova Hotel in Yellowknife, Canada, Quarry Restaurant promises an upscale dining experience in the heart of the city. However, my recent visit left much to be desired.Upon arrival at 7pm for a dinner reservation, my companion and I were seated promptly, but our excitement quickly waned as the minutes stretched into an hour and twenty minutes before our food arrived at 8:20pm. Despite the restaurant not being overly busy, the prolonged wait for our meals was disappointing. Our server mentioned that the kitchen was working through orders table by table, which seemed inefficient given the manageable crowd. When the food finally arrived, it was a mixed bag. The steak, cooked to perfection, was tender and flavorful, but the heavy-handed use of red wine in the seasoning overpowered the natural flavors of the meat, leaving much to be desired. Similarly, the pan-seared salmon suffered from being overcooked, resulting in tough, dry meat. Additionally, the choice to smother it in a heavy tomato-based gravy detracted from the freshness of the fish, ultimately undermining the dish's potential. While the culinary offerings at Quarry Restaurant showed promise, the slow service and inconsistent execution left me underwhelmed. With some improvements in pacing and attention to detail in the kitchen, Quarry could elevate.

No other choices on a Sunday in Yellowknife. Prices aren't bad and some of the menu options are decent. Gets really backed up when busy.

Restaurant located within the Chateau Nova Hotel. The world's most honest beef sandwich was on sale, and the mango salad was the most delicious. It felt quite fresh. All servers are friendly, but the menu does not appear until quite a while after ordering, so it would be a good idea to visit with plenty of time to spare.

Food was ok, not enough fries with fish and chips and coleslaw was very oniony. Fried fish was delicious though, no excess batter on fish. Lobster Mac and cheese was pricey for what it was. I don't know why they chose to add green and red peppers into Mac and cheese.Calamari was delicious.Service was good and timely with a beautiful atmosphere. Very warm in lounge.Sunday brunch had few selections but what they did make was very high quality.

Good food, good prices service kinda sucks. Like they don't come around and refill your drinks as often as I think they should. They come around with water But not pop. It's nice and quiet, it's not a bad place to go decent

Ate here a few times over the years. It seems to have improved during our last visit with generally large portions, well seasoned food and fresh fruits and veggies.

Keep your expectations low. Slow service. Food quality poor. Items on menu do not match reality. Ordered the char, small portion, overdone, bland.Nice plating though.
