“What a pleasant surprise on an absolute slam-packed weekend in Elko! Came for the cowboy poetry gathering along with countless others who crushed the local dining facilities, but McAdoo's rose to the challenge in service and quality! To be honest, we almost didn't stop because it looked tiny and my partner in dining that day had reservations. We're so glad we went for it! Fresh, tasty options with so many great items on the menu we'll have to return. Of all things, I'm spouting off about the salad with a bit of grilled chicken and orzo with, get this, fresh roasted vegetables. Not sauteed. Not nuked. Hot and juicy roasted. They had lots of creative beverage options as well and I settled on something involving cactus pear juice. Nice sized servings, fantastically scrumptious, and even with the crowds and the pressure, the staff busted their butts to provide excellent service. A definite stop on my next visit!“

“The best Arabic cuisine i got a chance to enjoy during my trip to the US.. Everything on the menu is home crafted from scratch from the olive oil to the desserts. I had an opportunity to chat with Reem, the head chef as well as the owner of the place who is a humble, hardworking and amazing woman.“

“If I could give 6 stars on a random roadtrip pitstop, this is it. There should be a warning on the door that says "you will not leave hungry." At first site with the old school family style seating and conference room chairs, you might be concerned. Don't you worry. Ribeye was juicy and crusted perfectly, holy cow! Service outstanding. “Stopped in Elko for breakfast before visiting my son in Carlin. It looked good from other Yelp reviews. The Coffee Mug has a great atmosphere. Great decor and nice vibe. Clean. Waitress sat me right away and took my drink order. Menu has a lot of options. I went for the Popeye omelet with full eggs not eggs whites. It came with a choice of pancake or biscuit and I chose the pancake. Also choice of hash browns or country potatoes. Food arrived very quickly. The omelet was delicious. There was a side of salsa that added nice flavor to the country potatoes. The avocado was on top and very fresh and perfect ripeness. I could not finish all my food. I did try the pancake and it had a nice texture but I'm sugar free so I only had it with butter. It was your standard pancake nothing too exciting. Very happy with my visit to Coffee Mug and I will be back should I find myself in Elko any time soon.“

“Don't let the outside of this little gem dissuade you from trying it!! The AYCE sushi, includes appetizers, soup/salad and lots of choices of sushi! All for a very reasonable price!! We love the crisp shells of the crab wontons, the crab & cheese app is delicious, as are the crab & cheese jalapeno bites!! There are a lot of rolls, all have a different taste. The products they use are wonderfully fresh, even here in the middle of the desert. Sashimi is included for the dinner price Service is quick, they do tend to get incredibly busy... so patience occasionally is needed, but not often. Their shrimp fried rice is the best I've ever had!! We love it!! Thai tea is another favorite... Highly recommend!!!“

“Great pizza to go. Only one size, but it served two people nicely, and now I have some pizza for lunch as well. The place looked like a grand spot to sink some suds, but alas, the family likes their pizza warm. It was hot and ready to go, and the busy staff took time out to take care of me.“

“I've visited twice now, once for coffee right after they opened for the morning, and today for lunch and to hang out. Today's potato soup was amazing, and the grilled cheese was phenomenal. The soup was exactly what I wanted when I read "loaded potato soup" on the Facebook page, and I wasn't worried about waiting for it. The wait times may be a little higher, but rest assured you're getting a fresh meal from someone who cares. The owner was delighted that I loved her food and I could tell she really wanted me to have a good experience, and I did! I can't wait to go back and play games sometime ?“

“Food was excellent! The service was OK. The building is old and could probably use some improvements but for the prices and quality I'm not complaining. I had the Szechuan Seafood plate and it was very good. There is not much parking but I think you can use the hotel parking around back.“

“I went in for lunch today. The cashiers were very friendly and courteous. The food is good. The soft taco is what I got is about twice the size of the Taco Bell soft taco. It was really good. Another I like is they have Coke products which I prefer over Pepsi products. The only thing I didn't like but it's okay cause I'm used to it in areas of the country that aren't the South is they didn't have sweet tea“

“Yes, this is the place you want for tacos and burritos! We stopped in while driving across the country. I had the shrimp cocktail and the flavor was nice and mildly spicy (like a bloody mary) with hard flat corn tortillas (tostadas). The carnitas were crispy and tasty! The beans were super good too, my friend ordered the Chile verde plate and when it came out it turned everyone’s head at the table. Everything though looked and tasted great!“

“My wife and I had our second dinner here. Getting eggplant parmesan lasagna in stock here is not easy. Tonight my wife was lucky and got the last portion. I had one of the seafood dishes. We also had the mussels starter, bread and salad. All the food was intense, but in a wonderful way. My tastebuds felt like they were at an amusement park. I completely enjoyed the meal. I was also very happy at the timing of our courses of our meal. Bread immediately. Salad very shortly after that. Appetizer shortly after that. Main course shortly after that. All in perfect timing. The service was wonderful. Totally recommend. Parking MAY be in issue and would be my only concern.“

“Spent one night in Elco NV . Wanted a local restaurant experience. We chose this place because we were impressed with the menu and the yelp reviews were positive. The patrons we met at this establishment were very friendly and all were local residents. The place was very busy, a good sign, we had to wait approximately 15 minutes before we could be seated. My wife ordered the small prime rib dinner. I wasn't very hungry so I had the wedge salad, expecting that my wife would not be able to eat all of her dinner. The food was outstanding! The portions were more than generous. The servers were outstanding and very friendly and helpful with our food choices. After dinner, one of the patrons recommended that we try the carrot cake, which he extol was made by the owner, a mature woman who was sitting at the bar visiting with patrons. So on her suggestion, we ordered the carrot cake to go. I might mention it was delicious too. We ate it in our hotel room. All in all and outstanding opportunity to meet local people and have an outstanding dinner. We have relatives in Idaho Falls so we'll be driving by frequently. Plan on stopping again Thank you for a wonderful experience.“

“I usually get my breakfast burrito here in the mornings. Always hits the spot. Never had any issues what so ever. Burritos are big too and good. Service is always very nice and prompt. I definitely need to try different foods. I've had their steak burritos and those are great too. Tried their new salsa today too, it was perfect. I hope they keep it as a normal!“

“Brought the kids here to try the new ice cream place, silver state creamery. It was just as good, if not better than coldstone. Service was fast. Server was friendly. Kids loved their ice cream, although a medium is a lot of ice cream. Even a small is a decent amount. Large selection of mix ins for your ice cream or milkshakes. Definitely worth checking out.“
