“Stopped in Elko for breakfast before visiting my son in Carlin. It looked good from other Yelp reviews. The Coffee Mug has a great atmosphere. Great decor and nice vibe. Clean. Waitress sat me right away and took my drink order. Menu has a lot of options. I went for the Popeye omelet with full eggs not eggs whites. It came with a choice of pancake or biscuit and I chose the pancake. Also choice of hash browns or country potatoes. Food arrived very quickly. The omelet was delicious. There was a side of salsa that added nice flavor to the country potatoes. The avocado was on top and very fresh and perfect ripeness. I could not finish all my food. I did try the pancake and it had a nice texture but I'm sugar free so I only had it with butter. It was your standard pancake nothing too exciting. Very happy with my visit to Coffee Mug and I will be back should I find myself in Elko any time soon.”

“Great place! We had Drop Peening haze iPad it was delicious. As we are just tourists we had no idea about this place. It used to be a bank built in 1926 or so and lots of history. People can play different games around there, atmosphere is awesome!We walked downtown for at least one hour looking for a bar, everything was closed (2 pm Saturday) and from the distance we could not see this 7018 brewery sign as its very small and the building does not look like a bar lol I guess it's something the owners got to consider to make a sign bigger)))”

“MARGARITAS AND THE CARNE PLATE are fire! This place is good! I'm sad that I just started going her after living here for almost a year! It's a great Mexican restaurant! Service is fast, inside looks authentic, plenty of seating. I ate leftovers days later and it still tasted great lol”

“Great food. We enjoyed every dish. From the chicken pad Thai, the combo pad thai, combo fried rice, beef chow mein, and red and green curry. I mean the food was really good. 4 stars just because they were a bit under staffed and it was a bit chaotic. Can"t rave enough about the food though. Also, it was Easter, and I think they were understaffed because they didn't expect as many people to show up.”

“Don't let the outside of this little gem dissuade you from trying it!! The AYCE sushi, includes appetizers, soup/salad and lots of choices of sushi! All for a very reasonable price!! We love the crisp shells of the crab wontons, the crab & cheese app is delicious, as are the crab & cheese jalapeno bites!! There are a lot of rolls, all have a different taste. The products they use are wonderfully fresh, even here in the middle of the desert. Sashimi is included for the dinner price Service is quick, they do tend to get incredibly busy... so patience occasionally is needed, but not often. Their shrimp fried rice is the best I've ever had!! We love it!! Thai tea is another favorite... Highly recommend!!!”

“We always go here when we are in Elko. Just an old-fashioned Nevada bar in a classic old building. Very authentic. Friendly bartenders and great prices on drinks. You get the real feel of Elko here. Pool tables and video jukebox too. Building is so large that the smoke is not overly bothersome when crowded. A must visit right downtown.”

“I've visited twice now, once for coffee right after they opened for the morning, and today for lunch and to hang out. Today's potato soup was amazing, and the grilled cheese was phenomenal. The soup was exactly what I wanted when I read "loaded potato soup" on the Facebook page, and I wasn't worried about waiting for it. The wait times may be a little higher, but rest assured you're getting a fresh meal from someone who cares. The owner was delighted that I loved her food and I could tell she really wanted me to have a good experience, and I did! I can't wait to go back and play games sometime ?”

“My wife and I had our second dinner here. Getting eggplant parmesan lasagna in stock here is not easy. Tonight my wife was lucky and got the last portion. I had one of the seafood dishes. We also had the mussels starter, bread and salad. All the food was intense, but in a wonderful way. My tastebuds felt like they were at an amusement park. I completely enjoyed the meal. I was also very happy at the timing of our courses of our meal. Bread immediately. Salad very shortly after that. Appetizer shortly after that. Main course shortly after that. All in perfect timing. The service was wonderful. Totally recommend. Parking MAY be in issue and would be my only concern.”

“Best coffee!! We were driving thru. Stayed at Hampton Inn. Wanted to grab coffee before we moved on. Right next door-- service was amazing. She made great lattes and filled our water bottles with ice water. That was so sweet! I wish we could have stayed and had our coffee there because it is so comfy and cute inside. Love the decor and comfy seating. Definitely much better than a Starbucks!!”

“I went in for lunch today. The cashiers were very friendly and courteous. The food is good. The soft taco is what I got is about twice the size of the Taco Bell soft taco. It was really good. Another I like is they have Coke products which I prefer over Pepsi products. The only thing I didn't like but it's okay cause I'm used to it in areas of the country that aren't the South is they didn't have sweet tea”

“Spent one night in Elco NV . Wanted a local restaurant experience. We chose this place because we were impressed with the menu and the yelp reviews were positive. The patrons we met at this establishment were very friendly and all were local residents. The place was very busy, a good sign, we had to wait approximately 15 minutes before we could be seated. My wife ordered the small prime rib dinner. I wasn't very hungry so I had the wedge salad, expecting that my wife would not be able to eat all of her dinner. The food was outstanding! The portions were more than generous. The servers were outstanding and very friendly and helpful with our food choices. After dinner, one of the patrons recommended that we try the carrot cake, which he extol was made by the owner, a mature woman who was sitting at the bar visiting with patrons. So on her suggestion, we ordered the carrot cake to go. I might mention it was delicious too. We ate it in our hotel room. All in all and outstanding opportunity to meet local people and have an outstanding dinner. We have relatives in Idaho Falls so we'll be driving by frequently. Plan on stopping again Thank you for a wonderful experience.”

“Yes, this is the place you want for tacos and burritos! We stopped in while driving across the country. I had the shrimp cocktail and the flavor was nice and mildly spicy (like a bloody mary) with hard flat corn tortillas (tostadas). The carnitas were crispy and tasty! The beans were super good too, my friend ordered the Chile verde plate and when it came out it turned everyone’s head at the table. Everything though looked and tasted great!”

“Elko is no longer equivalent to gross food. To be fair, I had only eaten in Elko once before but it was so terrible that it gave Elko a bad name (pss, don't go to McAdoo's). Taqueria Ayala is a hole in the wall and there is absolutely nothing fancy about this place but the food and service are just perfect. We had tacos de asada, carnitas, cuerito, lengua, chile verde and cabeza; sopes; tostadas de ceviche; bean and cheese, and carnitas burritos (we had our children and were very hungry, don't judge!). Everything was delicious. They have a small self serve station with pico de gallo, onions, cilantro, salsas. All the vegetables were very fresh and the sauces were good. We are very happy to have decided to try Ayala's and knowing that there is a good place to eat there next time we drive through.”

“We stay here because it is close to the Western Folklife Center. It is not fancy. It is a casino hotel. And the restaurant lacks the feel that it once had. They painted over the authentic and incredible murals. Oh, well. It is what it is. The biggest plus is location, but it is also warm and clean. That counts for a lot. And hot water is abundant.”

“Brought the kids here to try the new ice cream place, silver state creamery. It was just as good, if not better than coldstone. Service was fast. Server was friendly. Kids loved their ice cream, although a medium is a lot of ice cream. Even a small is a decent amount. Large selection of mix ins for your ice cream or milkshakes. Definitely worth checking out.”

“I usually get my breakfast burrito here in the mornings. Always hits the spot. Never had any issues what so ever. Burritos are big too and good. Service is always very nice and prompt. I definitely need to try different foods. I've had their steak burritos and those are great too. Tried their new salsa today too, it was perfect. I hope they keep it as a normal!”
