We were excited to try Lavo after having dined at Luchini. Lavo is supposed to be the fine dining version of Luchini. We ordered the Prosciutto appetizer, sea food pasta, pasta a la vodka, cheesecake, and tiramisu. While we the prosciutto appetizer, the sea food pasta was not good and the pasta a la vodka disappointing. Luchini’s pasta is all homemade and delicate, and Lavo’s is not homemade. Attended Lavo for as the last restaurant on our weekend. It did not disappoint. Atmosphere food was great. I had the pasta carbonara, very simple dish but very good. Our table also had the lasagna, bread board, Tuna tartar, and chicken parm. All great choices. Also, get the meatball if you're hungry. We will be going back when back in Vegas.

Very good fried calamari. Light and crispy. But you can’t call that pasta a “Carbonara”. The only ingredient that actually goes into the carbonara was the pasta itself (which is well cooked by the way). No ham, no onions, no bacon (should be guanciale), no parsley, black pepper and pecorino were missing. I can’t really say if there was egg or not, just an undefined cream. Please, stop to call it carbonara. Nice ambient, good service.
