The Birria con Queso tacos are FIRE! They come with a warm side of barbacoa style sauce to dip the tacos in and is a delicious pairing! The tacos are a hefty serving size too with 3 tacos in a serving. I also got a dulce de leche oat milk cold brew, as recommended by the friendly young woman behind the counter , and this did not disappoint. Quality cold brew and perfect amount of sweet but not too sweet. I got my food to go but the interior is set up as cute spot to dine in as well. Highly recommend.

With all of the good reviews , we wanted to check this place out. We are a mexican family so naturally, we were excited to hear that they make their own tortillas. We walk in and take a seat. My husband went up to get his order taken and he was sitting there and they just kept looking at him and going back and fourth to the back. They finally asked him "Oh, were you trying to get your order taken" My husband said yes. He ordered the food and came back. We got our food and although the food was pretty good, it's not your "traditional" mexican food. We also were not greeted once asking how our food was while everyone else did (clearly not hispanic). We felt pretty "out of place" and they definitely didn't make us feel very welcomed. Like I said, good food but most likely will not come back.

Tucked away in a small building, Milpa can be a little decieving at first. The ambiance is more causal, but coastal and homey. The food was really a hit, and reasonably priced. Definitely will visit again because it was healthy and the server was super kind!

Great service Quality food Dine in or take out only Very cute restaurant Reasonable prices We tried the chilaquiles and blue corn pancakes! The chilaquiles were top tier , very flavorful and made perfectly ! The blue corn pancakes weren't really like a pancakes but more like a corn cake / corn bread which I didn't mind at all! I had the dulce de leche coffee which surprisingly not sweet but the coffee was smooth! The mexican vanilla was perfect , not too sweet ! Highly recommend this spot, definitely coming back

Finally got to try something from here at Milpa! We had a Rep cater food from Milpa for our office and it's a Hit! The Rep says he always caters food here for the offices because it's simple and delicious. I agree! Food Catered: Birria Queso Tacos Corn Esquites Salad with a variety of salad dressing and sauces So far the food is good and tasty. I want more! Can't wait to actually go to this spot I know exactly where it's at.

I was so excited to write this review after enjoying my lunch at Milpa.Service was fast, friendly, and easy. The food was amazing! I had a barbacoa bowl and corn. We split a ceviche. The tortillas are made by hand and you can taste that they are made with love. I've had a lot of "horchata" but I think this is my first time having real horchata. Their hot sauce is really enjoyable as well.I was so close to ordering a 2 for 1 Paloma but it was noon so l didn't think I needed that. We'll have to come back another day, later on in the day.

Had to come back! My friend got the shrimp bowl and it looked amazing. I got another beef bowl, but this time I paired it with a Matcha Horchata. The best! Alex even remembered me from my previous visit. Will be back again soon!!

Have been to Milpa several times for breakfast. Have always enjoyed the food, with exception of this past Sunday. Ordered their blue corn pancakes which have always been airy and lite. This time they were thin and tough. Very disappointed, my wife's Huevos Ranchero were good as also. But the main complaint is the poor service. You order at the counter and then take your number and sit. And of course pay up front a the tip request before you get service.... Well after several minutes my wife gets her iced coffee, we wait the normal long time for our food, still no coffee, our food is brought out and I remind them I am still waiting for my coffee and water. I was over have done with my breakfast when the coffee showed up and never did receive my water. Extremely poor follow thru, and the servers excuse, we are very busy and short handed. Well I apologize for adding to your business! I have had similar problems there before and overlooked it. Guess I will move on.

I saw this restaurant listed in the top 100 taco places in the US so I had to try it. I ordered the Birria Queso Tacos. They were very delicious. You order from the counter and they print out the food on nice plates with salsa in little bottles. The micheladas were really good too. My only complaint would be there is no restroom clearly available. You would have to go into the kitchen area if there was one available for customers. So wash your hands and make sure you don't have to use the restroom. So 4 stars for the food, service, and nice little place. -1 for no bathroom.

Not only is the catering amazing, the birria tacos are delicious. Often on the weekends we drive across town to eat here. My other fav dish is the roasted vegetable bowl. Hand ground tortillas! Cannot recommend this place enough!
