I can't recommend this place enough. This place is the gem where I'd dine in when I visit Vegas. The fish was all fresh, and the service was superb. I enjoyed their thick and fresh sashimi flavorful chirashi and loved the taste of the rice that came with it. Buttery unni pasta was also delicious. My family enjoyed it here, and I’m glad I trusted my gut to bring them here.

In A Nutshell:-Shigotonin, which is I believe to be named after the owner, Mr. Shigo is a really, really great find for high-quality Japanese food.-Before I even write more, you NEED TO EAT HERE IF YOU CONSIDER YOURSELF A TRUE JAPANESE FOODIE.-I highly recommend their Uni Pasta w/ Ikura.-It comes out piping hot w/ delicious uni flavors that pair perfectly w/ the ikura.-I also recommend their Sakura Box Chu Toro which comes w/ Akami, Negitoro, Chutoro, Uni & Ikura.-The pieces of Chu Toro are HUGE!-Finally, their handrolls are phenomenal, especially the Akami.-They are very big, so one is big enough to share between 2 people.Overall, I noticed a lot of travelers eating here w/ their luggage in tow, this a great sign that this place is known outside of Vegas.

If you want super fresh fish, love Japanese food, and are ready to splurge a bit shigotonin is a great option in China town. You can truly taste and see the difference in what they have that merits the price point. If you are hoping for meat options they are pretty limited and very pricey. The wagyu ran 85 last time we went. We have gone twice so far. Parking can be challenging, so give yourself time to find a spot. They automatically give you both grated and fresh wasabi and high quality soy sauce. My one lament is while they have a great selection of sakes, they have crap options for non alcoholic drinks. I think if a place is this elevated in their food, they should have beverages to match for those who cannot drink alcohol.

I came here because of Toro, it is my favorite. There toro was so good, $75 for sakura -chu toro and $95 for sakura Otoro. Look expensive but there weren't. The service is great and helpful , I enjoyed my dinner night visiting Las Vegas this time.

Delicious Japanese food, although the raw fish is a bit uneven - at its worse is still quite tasty, but won't blow your mind. At its best it's excellent, although in Vegas even excellence may not be enough to stand out. The 5 kinds of fish sashimi was a particularly good value the last visit.
