The restaurant makes the most authentic Chinese food in Reno. The owners not only make authentic Sichuan food but also really tasty Jiangsu/Shanghai food. Whenever my husband and I go, we do not even look at the menu, we just ask what’s good today & we take whatever they prepare. We also ordered our Lunar New Year dinner from here and it was amazing: handmade dumplings, Nanjing salted duck, smoked fish… yum! Thank you! We will be back weekly, if not more frequent!
Almost all the negative reviews for this place say that their meat dishes are heavily breaded, with small fatty meat chunks in the middle. So I opted for vegetarian dishes instead. The eggplant scheshuan was mostly filler vegetables with some eggplant. It was pretty bland. The vegetable chowmein was also bland with too many filler ingredients and not enough noodles. Thank you for a wonderful lunch with my group of friends!I enjoy this family owned and run restaurant and have eaten here for years.The food is prepared freshly for each dish. I always find the vegetables to be cooked perfectly. I generally choose spicier dishes, and know that I can ask for a level of heat if I wish.I'll be back!
