Food is d+|c- . Uninspired. The service is good - family operation Recommend you skip this place until they learn how to cook.

Thank you for a wonderful lunch with my group of friends!I enjoy this family owned and run restaurant and have eaten here for years. The food is prepared freshly for each dish. I always find the vegetables to be cooked perfectly. I generally choose spicier dishes, and know that I can ask for a level of heat if I wish.I'll be back!

Nothing fancy, food had lots of filler like bell peppers and celery.

The restaurant makes the most authentic Chinese food in Reno. The owners not only make authentic Sichuan food but also really tasty Jiangsu/Shanghai food. Whenever my husband and I go, we do not even look at the menu, we just ask what’s good today & we take whatever they prepare. We also ordered our Lunar New Year dinner from here and it was amazing: handmade dumplings, Nanjing salted duck, smoked fish… yum! Thank you! We will be back weekly, if not more frequent!

Always service with a smile. They make the effort to know regulars. True family restraunt. The food is always good. They will adjust to requests. The lunch specials are such a good deal. Love the art work on the walls, you can even buy a piece of art work if it strikes your heart. Love this place. Hope more will to keep it in business.

Consistently good (take out or dine in). No matter what spice level you like, they are more than willing to 'tone up' or 'tone down' any recipe to match your request. Plus - we LOVE the artwork!

Almost all the negative reviews for this place say that their meat dishes are heavily breaded, with small fatty meat chunks in the middle. So I opted for vegetarian dishes instead. The eggplant scheshuan was mostly filler vegetables with some eggplant. It was pretty bland. The vegetable chowmein was also bland with too many filler ingredients and not enough noodles. The vegetable roll was ok. Nothing extraordinary. Overall the service was good. The interior of this place though is horrendous. Nasty carpet, god awful ugly chairs and tables, hideous decor. Obviously the owners of this place do not care about making this place better. You're at the foot of a very wealthy neighborhood for goodness sake. Put in a little effort and you might actually have a prosperous restaurant.

The lady at the front who helped me was very nice but the food was blah, I ordered the cashew chicken and it didn't taste like anything truthfully. And the fried rice didn't either. Unfortunately I won't be going back.

We went here for lunch. The lunch combo is a good deal as you get an entree, appetizer and soup. I had the egg flower soup, spring roll and vegetable chow mein. I found the soup to not be very good as there was not much in it except egg whites, it was gloopy and needed more seasonings. The egg roll was very good, flaky wrap, tasty and warm. The chow mein had a great amount of vegetables but again no much seasonings. I added a lot of soy sauce, hot mustard and salt to make it better. We spent about 6 minutes waiting to be seated and finally the person sitting at a table got up and helped us. This was surprising as we were the only ones in the restaurant. The waitress was sweet and made it more fun. I probably won't be going here again for a long while as I think other places have more flavor.

Went in on Xmas eve 2023 around 5pm, party of 5, place 1/2 full, plenty of spots available, multiple tables over 5 already seated, we were told they don't take parties of 5 w/o reservations? Checked website, mentions that nowhere. Will not attempt again.

Nice relaxing experience. Spicy food is perfectly prepared -- not too hot, but very flavorful. Great staff, friendly and attentive. Orange chicken, Mongolian beef, spring rolls -- I'd be hard pressed to find a better restaurant.

I recommend the lunch special. There are good entree and side options and the portions are just right. The egg drop soup was very unique, and it also had corn in it. As my main course, I ordered the kung pao chicken with peppers and peanuts. It wasn't too spicy and a great flavor. I had the egg roll for the side. It was the only part of the meal I would have changed. The egg roll was a little greasy for my taste.

The sweet and sour sauce had a more vinegar like taste, tolerable at best. Shrimp Egg Foo Yung was bland, the sauce helped it out. Large portions are served, however I have had the same amount of portions for a less expensive price. A lady that first greeted me was very professional and very friendly. The man who took my order who by the coat he was wearing is also the head cook talked and in a tone and presence totally unlike the lady, sorry to have to say it he was an s.o.b. and what's so funny about the behavior is the restaurant needs a serious furnishings and paint and lighting upgrade. If your going to bark at paying customers about how many decades you've been in business there, step up and look the part dude. I am pretty sure I will not be returning to this food establishment.
