“Most coffee shops in Reno are very good, but this one is exceptional. Friends and acquaintances alike have agreed with me that this is the best coffee in town. The decor is lovely, the baristas are always friendly and timely even when they're packed, and I love that they use local ingredients in their coffee. They use a local chocolatier, Dorinda's, for many of their seasonal flavors. I love the pistachio flavor so much I'll be sad to see it go!We make the drive from Spanish Springs once a week because we love it that much. Their sandwiches are delicious so be sure to give the fig and brie one a try! I do wish they had more pastries (donuts, coffee cake, muffins or different loaf slices would be nice) but we tend to show up late morning, so it could just be that the display case is sold out.“

“My Husband and I visited Ferino Distillery recently during a short trip to Reno and we are so happy we did! During our visit we met Joe Canella aka Mr. Cinnamon who is the creator of this establishment along with his business partner. We were fortunate to be given a tour and experience a tasting by Mr. Cinnamon himself and we were not disappointed! Joe is very passionate about his creations it is obvious throughout the Ferino tasting experience.During our visit we tasted 5 different liquors made at Ferino of which we walked away with 4 bottles plus 2 bottles of Ferinos homemade bitters which are amazing! I regret not grabbing more.Of the different alcohols we tried I was torn between the bourbon and the Cinnamon. Joe made me an old fashioned using the 2 together that gave me the best of both worlds. I felt so sorry for her and message to the owners: do NOT have just 1 person working on a weeknight, shame on you! Poor girl was literally doing everything and people kept coming in. I started getting my son. Their big giant donut every year for his birthday and all his friends would get so excited because I bought it from Donut Bistro. My oldest lori went to school with the owner's oldest son. I remember all my daughter could talk about before they opened was how they were opening up that donut shop. My family is so very grateful that they did because we get donuts all the time here. “I love a good latte and I have driven by this place so many times. Kinda located in the back area off Virginia St. One day I decided to give it a try. When I drove up I notice how big the menu was and not just for coffee but snacks as well, I decided on a cherry blossom with oat milk. The woman who was working the drive thru was also the owner and was super nice. I also noticed how many snack choices she had as well, even had vegan cookies.My latte tasted so delicious and enjoyed chatting with the owner too. If you are looking for a coffee house to sit inside then this is not the place. It is a drive thru only so stay in your jammies if you want since you dont even have to get out of your car. My only negative comment to make is I wish she offered the frequent purchase cards like most other coffee houses offer where you buy so many and get one free or cheaper. She does not offer those. So when I am on that side of town I try to get a coffee beverage at Mugshots. So, go give them a try.“

“I have been going to Millie's since 2003 when it was Tivoli's. What has kept me coming back all these years? Simple: they have the best, and I mean the BEST, Country Fried Steak in town. I've tried it everywhere and no one comes close. Not the chain restaurants, and not even local.This is comfort food that makes you forget about the hard week you've been having. Generous portions and absolutely delectable.It is very disappointing that you can only get this meal for breakfast. Once I saw the gelato I was sold, I sampled a few (cute mini metal spoons, sustainable?) then settled on Bart’s Revenge which was peanut butter & butterfinger & salted caramel. I got the double which was a huge portion - next time I’d go single. We asked the gal serving some questions and turns out she makes the gelato and I believe is the owner!
