Service was great, food (chicken fajitas) was incredibly bland and seemingly not seasoned.

We decided to try out this restaurant, as we like to experience new place's and take advantage of what type's of food Reno has to offer. We went at lunch time, yet was seated and served in a timely manner. Our server was awesome and the food was great with one exception. There was far too much cheese on top of the entree's! We couldn't see where one item began or ended. It was very thick. We all had to wipe it away to see the food. As we mentioned , to other's that we had gone there, they expressed the same concern, otherwise, the food was delicious! Upon our return, we will be expressing the cheese issue to our server. ?

Except for the music that makes conversation a bit rough, Los Compadres Restaurant is a comfortable venue to meet up with friends. We did that today. My high school buddy, from way back in the 1950s, joined us there for lunch. LC food is just as we remembered it from several previous visits. It’s most scrumptious. My order was from the lunch-special menu that consisted of a chili relleno with rice and beans. Not only is it a very delicious and adequate meal, it’s a good value too. All four of us had our respective appetites satiated. We shall return to Los Compadres upon our next visit to Sparks.

This is our favorite Mexican spot in Reno. The food is always delicious and the drinks strong. What more could you ask for?!

The chimichanga I had was easily a 2 out of 5, the refried beans and rice were old, just microwaved. As soon as I got home, I had to use the restroom. Only good thing was the free chips and salsa.

I don’t get the negative reviews. My carnita enchiladas were tasty and Maritza provided amazing service. I couldn’t decide to get green or red sauce so she suggested one of each. We sat down and the staff was at our table with chips and salsa asking for our drink order immediately. We will definitely be back.
